Yikes, hope you feel better. Have you tried pure o2? I've heard that can be extremely effective.

2025-03-14 09:28:37 +0000 UTCThat's the exact reason it exists. The collections tab serves more or less the same function, but it didn't exist when I first launched this page. And it's not very useful for modifying tier access.

2024-06-30 04:58:41 +0000 UTCI am a huge fan of the chapter links you post here. It works great to go back and reread bits without having to scroll through 10 miles of Patreon's terrible formatting.

2024-06-30 04:56:39 +0000 UTCOK I might have been thinking of another author that I follow its been a while since I followed you and after a little thought I figured I should inform whichever author it was ill check my subscriptions and figure it out good for you with making sure you can keep your business under control too many good authors don't and get overwhelmed

2024-06-03 20:33:09 +0000 UTCSold out? As far as I know, the $25 tier is the only one with a cap on it. And that cap is for my sanity because there's physical rewards involved.
Eric Dontigney
2024-06-03 07:06:44 +0000 UTCDo you think you can increase the cap on your tier membership numbers most say their sold out

2024-05-30 12:40:01 +0000 UTCThis really isn't the right place, but I'll go ahead and answer. The reason why we had a one-year time jump here is because, as admittedly entertaining as all of that stuff would have been, none of it would have advanced the actual story at all. At best, I could have gotten a bit of character development out of it, and it would have probably taken 25,000-35,000 words to do it, which is somewhere between 20% and 30% of an entire book. If I'd covered the rest of that year, it would have been a lot of unstructured and poorly connected vignettes of Sen building the academy, doing dad stuff, and commuting back and forth to the capital to talk pending beast war stuff with Jing and the sects. There wouldn't have been a central story point to hold it all together.

2024-05-17 20:04:32 +0000 UTCI agree. Seems like alot was skipped.

2024-05-17 12:45:19 +0000 UTCThis is the best organized TOC that I have ever seen on Patreon. I wish every other author would do something similar, though I’m sure it requires a fair amount of effort on your part. Thanks for making it easy on us.

2024-04-09 14:23:33 +0000 UTCFirst things first, all of the chapters are available at the $15 tiers. Per the cover. Yeah, there's a pretty even split between the people who hate the cover and the people who love it. If I'd been self-publishing these things, I probably would have used that cover from Royal Road. I even had a couple of similar images picked out for volumes 2 and 3. But, when you get a publisher, the equation changes. They're looking at what will help the book sell best and, for this genre, an exciting cover sells best. So, the cover looks exciting. I am glad you enjoy the actual story! I don't know if it's better than HWFWM, but I'll totally take the compliment. An epub is just type of file that's used sometimes for e-publishing documents. It's sort of like a PDF but aimed at ereaders. The last I heard, most ereader devices can translate/display epubs.
Eric Dontigney
2024-02-08 16:23:14 +0000 UTCI don't know what an epub is, but I frequently don't know the day or date soo there's that.... but also at what tier are all the chapters available, and lastly....look I hate to say this and I wouldn't if of the...100 plus odd stories I read last year yours was the best so....yours was my favorite, the problem is on Amazon of all the cover art work, I feel like it's the worst. The worst cover to actual content conversion I can explain that more later if you want but, like the cover on what's it... royal road is a million times better. I almost didn't read the first book because of how off putting the cover was. Glad I did though, favorite story/series over he past 2 years. I'd argue it's better than HWFWM, or some of the other super popular ones. That's all thanks

2024-02-08 15:37:46 +0000 UTCI've thought about it, but it's more of a logistical challenge than it sounds like on the surface. I'd have to do four of them every month or every two weeks or whatever schedule I adopted just for Unintended Cultivator. I'd also have to remember to track where every membership tier is at the start of the month. It's less of a problem for the books where my output is lower, but it's still another two or possible three or four files depending on which of the other books I'm working on in any given month. I'm a one-man band when it comes to Patreon stuff and, sadly, I'm not a super detail-oriented person. Most of the time, I don't even know what day of the week it is, let alone what day of the month. If I had an assistant to deal with those kinds of details, it'd be more practical option, but I'm not really at that level yet. In a year or so, it might be different, but right now I'd rather not promise to do it because there's a 50/50 chance I'd just forget or deliver the epubs two weeks late. That isn't to say I'll never do it, but I don't want to make it an expectation I won't deliver on.

2023-10-30 06:14:47 +0000 UTCIf it's possible to have an epub for each story (updated once a month to include the new chapters) , I've found it way easier to follow than patreon where you cant change the font/size/margins or literally anything

2023-10-29 19:10:29 +0000 UTCI try to keep things accessible. Still playing catch up on getting links to the earliest chapters posted.

2023-07-21 20:21:00 +0000 UTComg I just signed up, mildly dreading digging for the backlog on Patreon. Thank you for posting chapter links. Very Appreciated. Good grief after so many years, you would think Patreon would do hire someone for some basic UI/UX tweaks.

2023-07-21 20:09:07 +0000 UTCThe way to update which tiers can access a post and notify only the new tiers is this: 1. Remove access for ALL tiers. Do not notify about the update. 2. Add access for ONLY the new tiers. Notify about the update. 3. Restore access for the old tiers. Do not notify about the update.

2023-07-20 05:09:45 +0000 UTCYou can set the emails and notifications in the Patreon settings.

2023-06-17 21:25:12 +0000 UTCThat seems weird since most patreons I'm on don't seem to have that issue but I'll grant that I haven't actually had to do this myself so I have no idea if they aren't just doing a lot more work to make it seem seamless!

2023-06-06 21:42:07 +0000 UTCFine tuning the notifications has been an ongoing struggle for me. The problem is that, if I post a chapter that's exclusive to the food porn or cultivator plus tier, people at that tier get a notification. When I make that chapter available to other tiers, they do not get a notification, which several people have made me aware of. Other methods I tried resulted in the upper tiers getting a slew of notifications every single day. Sending out the notification that this one post has been updated is my way of letting people in the $3, $5, and $10 tiers know that they have a new chapter available to read. I haven't found a way to exclude the upper tiers from getting those notifications. I'm still trying to find a way to just alert specific tiers, but, to date, this is the least obnoxious way I've found to play fair.
Eric Dontigney
2023-06-06 21:03:54 +0000 UTCEvery time you update this (it seems? I have five emails since I joined 5 days ago) it sends out another email notification about it, maybe something that should be disabled since each individual chapter already gets a notification and this post is pinned to the top for any new joiners anyway.

2023-06-06 20:46:00 +0000 UTCI've included the links above as well, including the right one for Jericho Lott: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/62067/jericho-lott-a-dark-urban-fantasy-adventure lol.

2023-06-02 14:16:08 +0000 UTCYes. I'll eventually get all of the available chapters listed here, but you can find Rinn's Run on RR here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/68589/rinns-run-zeren-intrigue-a-space-opera-adventure And you can find Jericho Lott on RR here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/62067/jericho-lott-a-dark-urban-fantasy-adventure

2023-06-02 14:15:51 +0000 UTCCan you include a link to where your other stories begin? I found you through unintended cultivar, but I’d like to check out your other stories now that I know about them. Are they all on RR?
