I love love love the hypocrisy Tywin has. Remember all the threats he made to Tyrion about “bringing whores into the tower of the hand” “you brought a whore into my bed”, and he always reprimands Tyrion for sleeping around. Yet here he is, hosting a whore in his bed. The same whore his son had. He complained about his father having whores around who would wear his mother’s jewlery, and yet there Shae was with a Lannister gold chain around her neck. I fucking love this show.

2024-05-20 01:36:51 +0000 UTCShae wasn't really "Tywins" before Tyrion dismissed her I believe, but rather once Tyrion turned her away - she had no choice but to turn on him. If you remember during Joffreys pre-wedding ceremony, Cersei points Shae out to Tywin as "Thats the one I told you about", implying that she's now told Tywin about Tyrion bringing Shae to the capital. Tywin responds with "Have her brought to the tower of the hand before the wedding", so at that point he had his claws in her, as he "got to her" before Tyrion could send her away. Bronn says he saw her get on the ship and leave, but clearly she didn't. Or she was made to look like she left, and then brought back. I'm sure Shae did genuinely love Tyrion before this point, but when Tyrion abandoned her she was left with no other choice than to play the only cards dealt to her, since Cersei and Tywin got to her before she could leave.

2024-05-16 21:59:18 +0000 UTCRecently joined and have been binge-watching your GoT reactions for a few days now. In my opinion Seasons 4 and 6 are the best ones. Just a suggestion if you want a quick break in the story, but I think you'd really enjoy watching/reacting to the "Game of Thrones: Bad Lip Reading" and "Game of Thrones: The Musical feat. Coldplay" videos from YouTube. They're about 5 and 12 minutes long and are good for some laughs.
