2024-09-20 01:28:27 +0000 UTCThe finale revealed that Jon is half Stark half Targaryen. You kinda completely missed that Lyanna had the baby with Rhaegar Targaryen, not Robert Baratheon. Do you remember how Rhaegar supposedly kidnapped Lyanna? This flashback showed Ned rescuing his sister Lyanna after Rhaegar died only to find her in the midst of dying herself after just having given birth. Daenerys Targaryen is Jon's aunt. Rhaegar was her brother. So Jon could potentially have claim to the throne. That's the reason Robert would want that baby dead. So Ned Stark, who was such an honorable man, fulfilled his sister’s last wish by lying to the world. He brought the baby back to Winterfell, told everyone that the child was his bastard son, and raised the boy as Jon Snow.
