It's always fun to watch these movies again. Again we have a tightly written story nicely entwined with the previous movie action - and that makes it a lot of fun. It's a good sequel, as you say. You'll probably be told this multiple times, but the actors who played George McFly and Jennifer were not available for the sequels. George is very much in the background for most of the shots and where he is featured they used archive material from the first film. Actually, the Jennifer character was a bit of a problem. Because the ending of the previous film was a really just a fun kicker ending with the flying car joke, the sequel was stuck with Jennifer being in the DeLorean at the start of the film. Marty asks why Doc brought her along, and it's a good question - she probably wouldn't have been there if they had planned a complete 3-film series from the beginning. So she gets zapped asleep, then she has a small fun sequence with the future family, but then gets zapped again and she's still sleeping on the porch at the end of this film. Another fun-fact that people often mention is that a young Elijah Wood ("Frodo Baggins") is one of the kids in the 2015 cafe playing the video game. BTW: There's another link between this series and "The Lord of the Rings" films: Robert Zemeckis was involved with getting the film that became Peter Jackson's film "The Frighteners" produced. "The Frighteners" stars Michael J. Fox and it was the film that got Peter Jackson's special effects group started. And then the production after "The Frighteners" were his "The Lord of the Rings" films. It's fun to watch the 2015 sequence now we are beyond that point in time - where is my flying car? Actually, in 2015 the actors had a reunion on Kimmel's show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0VGRlEJewA A blink-and-you'll-miss-it Easter-egg that I just noticed this time I watched it, was that the "Jaws 19" movie that scared Marty in 2015 was advertised as being directed by Max Spielberg (Steven's real-life son). Nice. "The encounter could create a time paradox, the results of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that's a worse case scenario.", Doc talking about Jennifer meeting her future self, "Back to the Future II" I've just watched (a reaction to) a Classic Doctor Who story where the same situation happened - one character met his future self and ZAP! I like my time-travel stories.
