We Light the Way is an episode with a lot of pivotal moments and having season episode 6 right after this, it's also the last episode before we have a few actress changes. Thoughts on that?? I haven't been circling back to episode titles in my afterthoughts but now thinking about how the title is very reflective of Alicents dress choice, perhaps?

Yeah they definitely make him out to look worse. In the books when Lady Rhea dies, Daemon is away still dealing with the Stepstones stuff.

2024-10-06 06:29:30 +0000 UTCyeah unfortunately they really had no choice but to do time jumps in this first season. A lot of the time that they skipped in the show is during points of the book where basically nothing happens so it wouldn't have made for good tv viewing. everyone always says they should've kept the younger actresses but realistically it wouldn't work because they can't become parents and skip 10+ years in the future and still look like teenagers

2024-10-06 06:27:55 +0000 UTCyeah the actress change up is jarring. I have come to like the new actress but I think with the time jumps and the actress change it changes the immersion of the show. But still thoroughly enjoying this adventure.

I bought all of the books recently but it will take me ages to read them and am not fussed with knowing the differences since I will already have ample lore from the shows and other research when I read them.
