I dunno who's saying it falls off out of season 2. I agree with Maggie season 2 bogged down mainly because they cut out some stories from the comic most likely due to budget. And now I've been waiting for you to get to this episode, like I commented in a few of the season 2 reactions, you can see that Daryl and Meryl were abused as children, which shows alot of there personality quirks. As someone who knows that personally I saw it as soon as I saw Daryl in season 2 when he snapped at carol and was obsessed almost in his search for Sophia. He was looking to save himself. Meryl was harder to read because racism can show through upbringing and ignorance but can also be a sign as it gives him a misguided sense of control and superiority, made him think it was worthy in this case because he is white. Also PSA I am in no way justifying racism or any kind of bigotry.

2025-09-07 01:21:00 +0000 UTCI was shocked too! I get similar sentiment with almost every show i've taken on so far. But hearing some people say it falls off after season 2 shocked me given how many seasons there are. But season 3 has been so riviting thus far!

2025-09-05 05:30:55 +0000 UTCI’m actually very surprised you’ve been told this show falls off after season two. I TOTALLY disagree with that! In fact I always thought the second season kind of got bogged down with the “where’s Sophia” plot line. There are many great seasons still to come. Is TWD perfect? No. Of course not. There are dry spells here and there in some seasons. And there were times I strongly disagreed with storyline decisions. Strongly! Regardless, in my opinion, those things don’t take away from the overall storytelling, character development, and incredible acting that made TWD so special. It’s also upsetting to hear you have to deal with the immaturity that prompts some people to give away spoilers. I’ll never understand trying to affect someone’s fresh take on a story. Hang in there. I hope you can avoid the spoilers as much as possible so you can enjoy the ups and downs of this great show. It’s so worth the ride.
