11/15/2024 - The Day ColdSun Becomes a Full-Time Mod Author

Hello my dear friends! I hope all of you are doing well. I have some interesting news for you all. Let's start with the funny news.

Yesterday morning as I was carrying Piper down the stairs (my dog who has a back injury that has almost totally healed), I fell and broke my toe. Muahaha! It hurts like a mother#$#$@. I've never had a broken toe before, so this is new and fun. Not.

That wasn't the only fun thing that happened yesterday. While I was attending the leadership meeting (I'm a director with 30 people who report to me) we were told that we were not going to make our sales goals and that utilization was terrible. Hence, our glorious leader said, there would be layoffs and that the next day (which is now today) the effected people would be notified they were being terminated.

Fifteen minutes after that leadership meeting the Senior Vice President of Development schedules a "connect" with me for the next day (again, now today). I'm a pretty perceptive individual. I'm also not paranoid. Yet, I knew at that moment my goose was cooked.

So, as I showed up to the meeting with the glorious SVP mentioned above, I was informed that my services were no longer needed after 23 years of exemplary work. I would get 10 weeks of pay and one month of shitty COBRA insurance. Yes, my friends, I was fired.

Which leads me to the whole reason for this post. On 11/15/2024 I will no longer have a job and be able to become a full-time modder. It wasn't exactly what I had been patiently planning, but to be fair, I wanted to quit at some point and try my hand at modding full-time. So now, my fate (and my wife's), is in my own hands. Hopefully, I can do good enough work that you will all stay on board with me.

I plan to expand the types of mods I do and make even better, cooler things than I did before. My sense of innovation will only grow and if you think I was a machine before, well, wait till you see me without that fucking piece of shit job filled with people who don't give a shit about anyone but themselves.

I had thought that I would quit making replacers and only focus on my existing followers and expanding them. Now, I'm going to finish my Selects series (over time), expand my followers, and create a ColdSun's World the likes you can only dream of.

I'm also hoping to make Skyrim movies on my Youtube channel and maybe I'll even make a channel for book recommendations. The sky is the limit and I'm my own boss. So strap in, folks. This is going to be an interesting holiday season.
