We are getting close! The Iceheart Sisters and Iceheart Mill
Added 2025-02-02 21:33:20 +0000 UTCFirst of all, sorry the video is dark. We didn't make this one to really show anything off, just a quick capture that I was given by Jobiwan.
If you're wondering why I've been so quiet, its because I've been working on The Iceheart Sisters non-stop, and learning quite a few new things to add to my modding skillset. I guarantee this will improve not only the sisters mod coming out, but all my future mods too. So hang in there, we are going to have a great year ahead!
Changes Coming to The Iceheart Sisters
Let's talk about the main mod first. There are many new features in the mod.
The bad news first:
Anja and Kelsa are now included in one mod that is NOT esl-flagged (and likely never will be due to how often I hope to update this mod).
The new Iceheart Sisters mod will not be compatible with the old mods - you must remove them from your existing game and clean your save or start a new game.
The Cool Stuff(tm):
Both sisters have a new romance system that is based on how much time you spend with them. You don't need to give them gifts, just keep one or both of them in your party and your romance will grow. After about a week of in-game time, talk to one of them and ask her how she feels and you will go up a rank in your relationship. If the "how do you feel about me dialogue" doesnt appear, that means you haven't waited long enough. There are 5 stages of romance. Stranger, Friend, Confident, Lover, and Spouse. That means you need to spend a total of 5 in-game weeks with each follower to earn their hand in marriage.
At the spouse stage, you can ask one of them to marry you. Keep in mind, that if you marry one of them, the other will drop back down to stage 2 (confidant) and remain your trusted friend, but will never allow you to romance her again. I mean, they are loving sisters but they aren't going to share you.
Each sister has a very brief intro quest that will not only allow them to follow you the first time, but give you their summon lesser power which you can use at any time with no mana cost or cooldown.
Once you are married to one of them, you will get a permanent buff to your character. Details of this buff will be released when the mod is released.
Various improvements to the follower system
Additional conditions on dialogues, especially idles, to reduce frequency and improve immersion.
Kelsa is a fully custom voiced follower by the lovely Ophelia Valentine. Head on over to her twitch and watch her streams - tell her ColdSun sent you.
Improved appearance of both sisters, with SMP hair options.
The Commentary Addon
I asked the legendary Jobiwan to help with the Iceheart Sisters banter conversations. We have 5 different conversations between the sisters now. During this, we came up with an idea to add NPC commentary to NPCs in Skyrim when the sisters come around. NPCs will greet them, flirt with them (often getting rejected hard), and even sing to them. The video above is a just a small sample of the commentary, and the commentary addon has grown quite big.
The Iceheart Mill
My friend, Socalista, as you know, is helping me with the new location for the Iceheart Sisters. The mill is where they base their bounty quests from. As a player you can use the bounty board there to do bounties yourself, or if you are brave enough, take on new quests from the innkeeper that will challenge even the best players. Also included in this mod is an all new custom voiced follower. The mill has places to sleep for your followers, including the sisters who will make this their home automatically once you install it. The new NPCs in the bounty quest and the followers were all designed by me and Socalista really put a LOT of lines into the custom follower. More details to follow when the mod is released.
So we have some big things coming! Keep your eyes peeled. I will post the information here when it is released on Nexus.
Thanks,
Heath aka coldsun1187
