Asset Packs - Unification? Selects Changes?
Added 2025-03-24 21:11:12 +0000 UTCHello my friends! As you know I've been doing some reorganizing of mods and planning changes for the future. I mentioned it a few days ago, specifically around my Selects series of replacers on Nexus right now.
I'm always trying to improve and innovate my mods. I've come up with a long-term strategy for how to handle my asset packs.
Current Asset Pack (Visions)
This asset pack will be the target of upcoming changes. It currently uses a special blend of Reverie skin and supports either soft or muscular normal maps. There is a patch for body hair or no body hair as well.
Upcoming Changes and Additions
More Body Normal Maps - I'm adding two more normal maps. "Natural" and "Strong."
More Face Diffuse Textures - I'm adding two more face textures. Right now the pack uses the "Sleek" (young) face. I'll be adding a hardened face and an aging face. This will give me more options for NPC design (and sometimes more immersive designs).
More Face Normal Maps - The current asset pack only uses a "youthful" normal map face. I'll be adding a mature face normal map.
Upcoming Mods and Previous Mods (Visions Only)
Due to the above changes to the Visions Asset Pack, I'll be making some changes to my upcoming mods as well as updating previously released mods.
I'm cancelling the "Selects" Series completely and replacing it with the same type of Pack system I used for Pantheon and ColdSun's World (with the same NPCs). If you want the Selects mods from Nexus - grab them while they are still there.
The new NPC Replacer Packs for Visions will allow you to pick and choose each NPC you want to install per pack. It will also let you choose certain features such as body style (soft, muscular, etc).
I'll be making heavy use of SkyPatcher for these packs to provide no conflict, maximum compatibility to the replacers. I'll be rewriting all the patches I did for Selects to make the patches more reliable.
The new asset pack might break some textures on my oldest Visions series mods. Please let me know if this happens and which mod was effected. It should be a rare case, but I'll provide patches to fix them as quick as possible.
I'll be swinging back to all my Visions mods (even the Patreon exclusives) over time to make sure I provide them with the best features and designs that I can.
Let me know if you have any questions. I'll answer one right now. Yes, you can use the Selects mods with these new replacers since they use SkyPatcher and allow you to install them individually. Just Keep in mind that Selects will no longer exist and will not be supported after I remove them from Nexus.
Have a great day!

2025-04-04 19:55:03 +0000 UTCLove your replacers, i updated from 1.5.97 last week and completely rebuilding my load order and redownloading all mods. I was already using your Pantheon, but visions takes it up another notch. I'm also using the Taranis 3 replacers. For 1.5.97 I made a excel list to manage the vast number of NPC's covered by different mods, published it 2 years ago and could be a huge help for people wanting to mix and match. I updated it to include visions and Tarani and deleted some old replacers. It covers Your replacers, tarani, Kalillie and Bijjin and is helpfull for anyone who wants to mix and match. It just lists the NPC covered per mod and you can simply copy-paste and organize to filter NPC's covered in each replacer pack. This way you know which ones to skip in fomod installers or use as easy reference which ones to remove with Xedit. I'm still rebuilding, and just discovered Miggyluv's replacers i'm using for the males since somehow I cannot get Pa44's Pride of Skyrim working on my AE install without the darkface bug. His covers male and females in a single pack per town. I will update the list in the next few weeks when i'm done testing my new loadorder. Anyone wanting to have a simple overview to mix and match, avoid headaches and tackle possible conflicts : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/91752

2025-03-25 17:24:30 +0000 UTCIf there is a chance to have BNP skin as a option that would be awesome but simply dropping the textures as you mentioned works fine for me as well.
