Status Update!

So I'm sure some of you might be wondering why I've been so quiet. I've been knee deep in expanding my knowledge of Skyrim coding with SKSE Plugins (DLL) and SKSE Papyrus Scripting. While this was happening, one of my Patrons who shall remain nameless, came to me with some magnificent ideas - and some financial support to make their ideas come true.

The timing for this patron coming to me couldn't have been better because I can now take what I've been learning and apply it. You already know I'm working on two followers. Malice, a dark elf vampire that would be my first AI voiced follower, and Samandriel, a dark elf archer and member of the Heartbow Rangers. I've got DubiousCreature voicing Samandriel and let me tell you she is going to knock it out of the park. Her voice is perfect for the character and she is an excellent actress. That said, it could take a couple months for her to finish the colossal script I wrote for Samandriel. There are more lines and features in her than any of my previous followers, including a far far better romance system than the Iceheart Sisters had.

So this brings me back to my Patron, their ideas, and the support they are giving me to make those ideas into a reality. The first idea is that we are going to expand Vayne. In a big way. I've already spoken to Alexia (the VA for Vayne) and she is on board and very excited with the ideas we have to expand Vayne and make her into a character with a much bigger story and personality than before. She will also benefit from the same enhanced romance system I've developed for Samandriel. Vayne also has a new visual design, further emphasizing a new secret aspect of her heritage.

Finally, I have created combat AI for both Vayne and Samandriel that is like nothing you have seen before. These new combat features have been tested by others and I'll let them fill you in on how well they work if they choose to. Watch this space over the next week for more specific details about the combat AI and maybe even some sample videos if I get time to make them. For now, enjoy the new Vayne design.
