I'm Back from Hiatus - Status Update

Hiatus Over

I had fun during my time off.  I didn't get to learn more about armor modding yet, but I'm going to keep working on that.  I did, however, play VR for a week or so. I find that for me the VR Headset provides a fantastic form of exercise (actually many types). I'll likely use the headset at least once a day to do the required exercise required per day.

Poll Status and Project Updates

You might have already noticed that I took the latest poll down.  Anaka was winning by a large margin.  That said, I haven't been able to find the right voice actress for her. Because of this, I'm going to keep hunting for a voice actress for Anaka, but the good news is I have the perfect voice actress for Vayne. When I first heard her voice I thought maybe I would make a Morrigan follower (Dragon Age), but then I let her look at all my designs and she immediately gravitated to Vayne. She appears to be a dark elf and assassin type fan, so I'm going to go with her judgement as I know she will make Vayne come alive.  Don't worry though - I am going to find Anaka!

Several times now I have come up with ideas and not followed through. For example, I wanted to make Woken Furies into this huge storyline with unique voices and quests, but it was too grand a vision at the time, and my skills weren't quite there. These last 8 followers - Sasana through Inalion, are my best work yet and I hope to bring each one alive with quests and voices over a period of time (a reasonable period hehe).

Membership Improvements

While I work on these big things, expect me to continue learning how to provide the best community and benefits for my patrons.  I get ideas from a lot of people on Discord and will continue to sift through those ideas to make being a member of this community something special.  While it is the nature of Patreon for people to sign up and cancel their membership the same day just to grab all the downloads, I hope to make some changes to encourage people to stick around.  These changes are:

• Citizens (Patrons) get 2 votes for polls
• Unique presets and followers only released on Patron
• Monthly drawing for special reward like a custom follower just for the winner
• Enhanced versions of my Nexus mods that can't be gotten elsewhere (even my replacers are going to get enhancements only available to members!)

One possible change I've been discussing with other modders who do Patreon is the idea of requiring new members to be signed up one month before being able to download content. I'm still considering this, and honestly, I'm not sure I'll even do it. If people want to sign up just for the current crop of content, that's up to them, but hopefully I can change the minds of people who might consider it by offering the best community possible.
