4.11 & 4.12 – Cliffhangers, Drama, Fun.

 ***As per usual: below are many spoilers*** 

Last Week! 

I finished up coloring 4.8 – Haus 2.0. This is where that panel of Chowder looking SUPER DONE is from. Bitty has a flamethrower. I can't spoil all of the jokes. I drew the roughs for 4.10, which, surprise is the beginning of a few comics featuring Coach. 

It's all starting to blur together @_@ #comics.

4.8 – needs lettering
4.9 + 4.10 – need coloring, lettering
4.11 + 4.12 – needs penciling, inking, coloring, lettering
4.13 – staring thumbs next week 😩

I HAVE TOO MANY CHARACTERS. I just realized the next like...5? 8?....11? comics do not feature a single Providence Falconer other than Jack Zimmermann. We're spending a lot more time with Bitty in the next few comics, so....Alas! ;-; Parse is in like 1 comic in Year 4. We had sooo much George, and there was so much Tater in Year 3, I had no idea I'd miss them this much. GAH 🙃

Sad About My Waffles. Speaking of having too many characters. Every time I draw a waffle...or even a tadpole for that matter, I get a little forlorn. Because Check, Please! Ends after Year 4, we'll never really get to see them grow up. Yes, true, I can make more comics about them, but I'm pretty much leaving behind the Samwell universe when I finish the final volume of Check, Please! Hops, Louis, and Bully are so fun!! I'm sorry I'm only developing them for a year. (It hit me hard while drawing Whiskey—the first few panels are a lot of freshmen.)

Next update! I'm hoping for early November! I've been focusing on getting out as many pages as possible in the meantime. Patrons will still get early access!

And Finally, A Useless Paragraph About How Much Jack And Bitty Like Each Other.  Jack likes that Bitty is very sweet and kind and has Southern quirks that he'll never truly get over. Bitty has a tiny nose. Bitty gets really passionate about many topics and ideas, and that helps Jack appreciate those things as well. Sometimes, if Jack is good, Bitty will let him lick the spoon while Bitty's cooking. Bitty likes that Jack is seemingly very unfunny, but is a reservoir of dry humor and dorky observations. He likes that Jack always looks right at Bitty right after making a terrible joke, just to see if Bitty laughed. He likes that Jack will call him “Bitty” or “Bits” or “Bittle” for different reasons and always absentmindedly. Jack is the person Bitty calls after he has had a really bad day, and Jack helps him sort out what was really bad and what Bitty can look at differently. Jack will sometimes text Bitty when he's right outside the Haus, because Jack really likes visiting the Haus. Bitty likes that Jack loves pie. The End.
