Oh. Oh, so THIS is how we're starting the second cour?! This second half of the series is off to WILD start! Exposition! Suspicious Characters! Mysterious Backstories, and Moral Grayness! Shinoa was SO great in this episode, Mitsuba was so relatable, Guren was SO SHADY, and I felt so badly for Yu and his friends, caught in the middle of...whatever THIS is!
I've never been more suspicious of Guren (and possibly Shinya) and more fearful for Mika, as something is clearly wrong with him...and we now have both Ferid and Guren "offering" to help Mika and Yu find each other. Even if it's just to be used, huh? Hmm...

Guren IS really interesting! He's so hard to get a read on him! But yeah, I'm fascinated by the "sketch" characters in this show and that makes a LOT more sense about the novel in Seraph of the Endless! Ahhhh, thank you for that info and the comment! I'll be curious to see where Guren's character goes this second cour!

2022-03-28 19:30:20 +0000 UTCGuren's so interesting, there's so much more to his character than what is shown, but I tend to be gravitated toward sketchy characters though haha but in case you're interested in Guren backstory, the novel they mentioned in the Endless episode is called Seraph of the End - Guren Ichinose: Catastrophe at 16
