This story is doing an amazing job with set up of characters, themes, and the harsh world they inhabit -- our boy Thorfinn is quite interesting so far, and I love Thors and Leif to pieces...but I have a sneaking suspicion this series is NOT going to let us have nice things.
I can't wait to talk about this episode with you all...SUCH set up and now I'm eager to see what Episode 3 brings...but I'm also QUITE nervous, too. Floki....my dude...

I'm definitely all about the characters so far in this -- that makes sense it's a slow burn, but I can do a slow burn if it's done well, and so far, this definitely is! :) I'm so hyped to see what this show does with its characters and themes! Its basically my favorite anime series in 5 years along with JJK s1. For totally different reasons tho. lol. Youre picking up so many details how the show , how the author of manga clearly telegrahps anti war themes , making commentary about violence . And Thors basically the living realization of that. The show is very slow burn and character driven , it lets its moments breathe and to some people it can be way too slow for anime . And thats totally fair . I just think you really gonna appreciate vinland for what its trying to do and the pacing itself

I can go back and re-record the episode (not my reaction of course) and re-edit -- it will just take some time. I'll make sure for Episode 3 to have the subtitles -- Amazon Prime's player puts them in a weird place. I am SO sorry. Thanks for your patience, while I get it fixed!
