So....new favorite episode, eh? I love me some romance, but when it's integrated naturally and sexily like it is here and ties to our characters developing and the themes of the show? **chef's kiss**
There is SO much to talk about with this episode, as you can see, and our boy Shinji gets closer to Asuka, Asuka has her own identity issues, and Kaji...Kaji may just be the snake in the Garden of Eden--err, NERV, hm?

Oohhhhhh, that would be really interesting if it were a recording of his parents! @_@ Hmmmmm, maybe we'll find out more about that darn walkman, eventually! And YES, the paths these kids are crossing -- the lines of maturity and immaturity explored; I wasn't expecting it in this series, but I'm welcoming it! :D

Like, his dad saying one nice thing to him from ages ago, or his mother humming a short song? Hoo this anime really does not turn feelings into comedy when the times comes! Kids navigating first steps of attraction, adults reigniting the old flames...
