Thorkell is indeed tall and he is absolute CHAOS....and I love him already! It was hard picking a thumbnail, but our first peer into that gigantic madman smile won me over in the end!
We get an interesting glimpse into character motivations, the mysterious Canute, Thorfinn's ongoing struggles, the twists and turns the war is taking, and into this giant of a man that I want to see more of already! Between him and Askeladd, the chaotic energy is off the charts and I'm loving where the story is taking us! LET'S GO!

Oh no worries, you're not overselling, haha! This series captivates me more and more with each episode, and I'm finding myself getting more excited to watch a new episode with each one, so I can see the appeal. And I LOVE JJK -- I can't wait for January when we get BOTH Vinland Saga AND JJK seasons 2 -- it's going to be a LOT of fun! :)

Its just it and JJK honestly my favorite shows in like last 5 years , at least anime wise. Both for different reasons . So sometimes I might gush about it and be over enthusiastic to the detriment of more critical look.

2022-06-29 19:50:26 +0000 UTCI regret being so heated in the episode discussion -- so far, the community on YouTube, especially for AOT, was REALLY respectful about spoilers. There's been a few series I'm watching that I'm having to be VERY cautious with to avoid spoilers. Reading and replying to comments is one of my favorite things, and I don't want to get to the point where I don't want to do it, so hopefully things will tone down...or I'll just watch ahead to get away from spoilers the best I can, hahaha! But thank you for the kind words! Yes, Thorkell is....a basic bro, haha, but I do like how fun he is and just so BLUNT and chaotic. But there's something under the surface with him, and I appreciate that. But Thorkell as a waifu?! Bahahaha...I mean, y'all can put him on the poll for next year's bracket. ;) I've had a lot of fun with these last episodes and honestly, if they're the WORST of the season, then that is a very, very good sign to me! :) But YES, Thorfinn saying he would carve out Askeladd's heart -- ahhh, you bring up such a good point about him in this and losing his way. He DEFINTIELY has been having an Eren moment. ^^ Thanks for the comment!!

2022-06-28 18:49:40 +0000 UTCIts a shame you got spoiled on some stuff , this community seems more careful about it than most . But youtube comments are wild west , so anything goes lol. As for ep. Honestly Thorkels introduction left me with kinda mixed bag. Hes introduced in a very basic , very surface layer approach and just general mentality from this ep he seems like very stereotypical ''i like to fight '' archetype that you can find in nearly every anime . With all that said, hes just really fun to watch on screen and his action sequences are really well animated lol. And ofc the VA for Thorkel is just so ear pleasing haha. A lot of people in vinland commnunity call Thorkel best waifu material lol. Honestly the last couple eps are kinda my least favorite eps in whole season. It just feels like the weakest episodes in what this show can offer . I dont think they are bad or anything, but it just feels a lot more action focused and bombastic and they dont really stick with me as much . Or its not what I personally associate with this series . Overall its really fun, but theres not a lot of stuff to marinate and chew on. The last thing , Thorfin just not having a good day lol. Even before fighting Thorkel. Him saying he will carve out Askelads heart and offer to Thors spirit. I feel like its the naill in the coffin to say Thorfin completely lost his way and the idea of his father and ideologies/teachings . For a moment it felt pure Eren, lol.
