This series gets better and better, as the tension between Xing and Kohka is mounting, and the tension between Hak and Yona somewhat comes to a head -- OUR GIRL YONA, THOUGH! I could prattle on for days how proud I am of Yona!
From FINALLY making a move with Hak (and shutting his brain down completely), to taking a step towards letting her past go, while trying to protect her kingdom's future, to taking initiative to stand up to her father's name and her pride as a princess and confronting Soo-Won!? Our girl is AMAZING and I can't wait to fangirl with you all with this FANTASTIC volume! **fans self**

I was SO convinced that Min-su was dead! Glad to know that he's still with us!! And Yona giving Hak a farewell kiss was SO SWEET! As well as her hug to Tae-jun -- their friendship is adorable! Just like with AOT, it paints its characters as complex and never outright "evil." Soo-won frustrates me SO much because of what we don't know about him. There clearly is a motive for his actions, but it's hard to sympathize at times because we don't know what that is! Here's hoping Kusanagi gives us answers sooner rather than later, hahaha! And yeah, I outright don't like Gobi, but with Mizari and Keishuk, they have their dislikable qualities, but then there's an air about them that makes you want to support them, so....fun times! :) I'm so excited to hopefully learn more about Soo-won as we go into this story! 2022-08-25 23:06:36 +0000 UTCI'm so glad that I had all volumes of this arc when I read it because I wouldn't have had the patient to wait. I think most people thought Min-su died. I didn't expected him to survive. Yona kissing Hak was so unecpected but hell yeah, go get your man! XD I don't think Mizari wants the power for respect, he wants the power to help and protect Kouren. We really need to know why Soo-won is so extremly against everything King Ill stands for. The similiarities between Akayona and Aot are, again, so interesting. That hug between Yona and Tae-jun. I love their friendship so much. Did Soo-won do horrible things? Yes Does it mean he is irredeemable? No He did bad things but with the best interest of the people in mind. I love him but he can be so frustrating especially since we don't know enough about his side of the story to see why excactly he acts the way he does. I don't know what it is but I like Keishuk maybe it's just because he has long hair. Who knows. XD

2022-08-23 10:54:44 +0000 UTCThe hype was WORTH IT! And yessss, Yona standing up for her people and for the nation of Xing -- our girl has grown so much! And Yona making the first move! SERIOUSLY, our PRINCESS! <3 And poor Hak, he now sees she's let go of that attachment to Soo-Won, so she's whole for him, and he can't even beat her to the punch for a kiss! :3 But honestly, him imitating Pyu-kyu slays me! :) We ALL fawn over Hak like the wind tribe, don't we?! The fact that we got BOTH Min-su AND Tae-Jun in this arc is insanity! We are feasting well with Kusanagi, aren't we?! And yessss, I think your reasoning with Soo-Won not showing up is the most accurate, but that just made Yona even madder and filled with more resolve! Ahhhh thank you for the kind words and comment! Seriously, Algira and Voldo are precious, as are our dragons, but Yona and Hak -- they're on the cover of this one for a REASON! :3

See it was worth the hype 🥳🥳🥳 Yona is really growing and becoming more and more the strong princess that she is meant to be, and not only because of the dragons or the incarnation of Hiruyu stuff!! No it is her, her growth, her maturity and her inner strength !! I love how she held her ground in front of Ky Suk and made him back down. I love strong realistic female characters and Yona is feeding all my cravings in that matter !! I am soo proud of her 🥲 And SHE KISSED HIM AND SHE MADE THE FIRST MOVE!! Go get your man girl!! Hak , the ball is in your field, better not screw this dude!! The hairpin moment was monumental !! She is finally free of the last link to her former self!! And it was monumental for Hak too because she is whole for him to love now!! But poor guy didn’t even have time to process the tsunami of emotions he get when she kissed him! That Pu Kyu moment was golden!! And I love how the Wind tribe fawn around Hak, it is adorable !! And getting Min Su back and Tae Jun back in the story, I was in heaven. But yeah Su Won screwed up for not showing to the meeting , I have a feeling he just can’t get his feelings under control when around them and has to be steeling his resolve to continue his mission.. but yeah, that hurt Yona mostly, Coz Hak is way past hurt in this case. Algira kitty continue to be my favorite new characters in this arc. And the dragons!! I just love them and want to hug them and Yun. You can’t imagine how I was waiting for you to reach this volume!! And You didn’t let me down via your reaction and discussion !!

2022-07-06 20:32:51 +0000 UTCAhhhh, that video! I loved it!! Yes, the interconnectivity of Soo-won, Yona, and Hak continues, but I LOVE this development! I LOVE how she stands up to Kei Shuk and demands to see Soo-Won; Minsu is so right, it's a terrifying ability, but I love that she has it and I can see the connection between Soo-Won and Yona in how they draw people to them and their causes. Her letting go of the hairpin for the sake of saving others was *chef's kiss* and Hak seeing that? And her kissing Hak? Poor Hak, he's going to have to process all this! My favorite is that Hak trusts her at this point to be able to go alone and get things done. The faith he has in our girl! <3 No worries about a long comment; thanks for posting it! :) And yessssss, Chapter 141 is one of my favorites; that video sums it up so well! :D

2022-07-02 06:47:11 +0000 UTCThis volume is like a trip down memory lane and an amazing callback to the flashback chapters from chapter 60-61. The trio is at the center of the story and even Ogi was brought back and as Yona asked in a previous volume “why did they turn out like this”. No matter how much Suwon tainted everything the three of them shared, their paths are still so interconnected. Minsu is still alive!! And I especially love his inner monologue during chapter 138 as he states “She’s simply during her best and those around her reach out to help her in return. Perhaps his majesty hasn’t recognized it but what a TERRIFYING ability”. Yona standing up to Kei shuk and being ready to face Suwon is a culmination of everything Yona's accomplished. She finally let go of the hairpin(in front of Hak as well) because she’s accepted what happened and instead of being fixated on the past like Kouren and her faction are, she’s able to move forward. Also she finally kissed Hak and he stopped working 😂😂. In all seriousness I love that he has faith in her and hates leaving her alone but knows that it’s needed in order to bring the dragons back and prevent war from happening. Anyways this got longer than intended but we’ve reached one of my favorite parts of the story and the reasons why Yona is my favorite female protagonist in animanga.
