Yona of the Dawn: Manga Volume 28 Reaction & Review!

Oh, I was not expecting the tonal whiplash this volume takes! On the one hand, we get HILARIOUS hijinks with the Fire Tribe brothers Kyo-ga and Tae-Jun, get to meet their mother (whom I love already), get bread crumbs of Yona's family lore, and get some amazingly romantic HakYona moments.
On the other hand, we get anxiety induced by Gobi (who sadly is still around), KeiShuk (who sadly is a new thorn in our sides), a new Kai Empire antagonist that seems even MORE of a tool than Ri Hazara, and no one will leave Yona and the Happy Hungry Bunch alone! Seriously...quit targeting ZENO! Things are not looking good, and we JUST got out of a bad situation...and we're right back in the thick of things again, eh? #_#

I love Igni; she's such a queen! :) And yessss, now the word is getting out, so what do we do with it? Hmmm...I love the humor of this volume, though -- it's good alongside the anxiety! And yeah, Keishuk is an interesting character; I get his motives, even if I'm obviously not a fan of them and I do appreciate how rounded his character is. And HA! I feel like hatred for Gobi IS a mood, right?! And YES, if Yona, Hak, and Soo-won could have a sit-down and discuss everything, that would be AMAZING! Maybe Kusanagi is getting us to that point? 2022-08-25 20:22:21 +0000 UTCI knew at some point words about Soo-won being the one that killed Ill would go out but I don't like that. It feels like it will become a big problem in the future. Igni has a presence that I just like. She's awesome. Characters opening the door seeing who's inside and then closing it again will never get old. It's too funny. It makes sense why Keishuk wants Yona ect. gone. I don't like it but I see where he's coming from. I have to say I respect Keishuk that he would give his life for the goal. Your hate for Gobi is such a mood. I just want Soo-won, Hak and Yona to sit down and talk. As to why Soo-won did it. What happend. Their emotions. At some point this must happen in a way.
