This episode had EVERYTHING, didn't it?! Mysteries upon mysteries build with Makima and her tense mentor-relationship with Kishibe (the now-named mentor), The Future Devil reveals itself, we're introduced to a LITERAL suicide squad of devils and fiends, A NEW SHIP IS INSTANTLY BORN between Aki and the Angel Devil, and apparently we're confronting the Blade Devil and Sawatari NOW!
I love Denji, but he is the least in the thick of it in this episode, as I can only hope Aki gets some help as he faces off against literal "ghosts" from the past...maybe an angel can come assist him in the final hour before the season finale?! I was on CLOUD NINE this episode!
NOTE: I've been since told in the Discord that Angel is a male...hope you all are ready for me to unload my inner fangirl about THAT next week!

Hahahahaha ohhh, interesting -- that's a fair point! I'm glad you noted this! And yes, I am insanely sad that we're ending the season so soon, but I know (like with JJK), I'm only going to get more and more hyped to see Season 2! :) And yessss, Angel is probably my new favorite alongside Aki as a ship, too! 5 minutes and this character has our hearts and us shipping them with one of the main characters! So sad there’s only 1 more episode after this🥲20 minutes & that’s it😭The amount of Akiangel Fanart I’ve seen before meeting Angel officially was insane, now that we meet him I see why ppl ship him with Aki lol love the voice actor for him as well. Perfect casting & now new favorite character.
