This episode was so understated, soft, and yet PUNCHES you right in the gut at the most poignant moments. Our doctor Tenma retreats to a mercenary's training ground to learn to shoot a gun...and ends up affecting the lives of Hugo and a little girl far more than he can even realize!
There was so much to talk about and enjoy with this episode...but it definitely feels like the calm before the storm! Will Tenma be able to shoot Johan? I guess we'll see!

I've been away from reaction channels since most of my favorite series are apparently minor and many of the reactors I like are not watching any of them lately. But this is great! Monster is not only about the storytelling but it's also about the characters and wholesome episodes like this one. Now I have to start watching your reaction videos from episode 1! I'm so looking forward to seeing the rest of your reactions to and discussions of the series!

It's so dark, but yeah, at least Tenma has brought some light into the situation! I hate that he's literally a fugitive, now, though. T-T Our Doctor has had some bad luck, lately. 2022-12-24 18:02:40 +0000 UTCLittle girl and the Soldier had such a fucked up situation they could very easily have had their own show, lets call it 'Deutschland Saga', but then Tenma showed up and instead we get a heartwarming moment between a girl and her parents killer... Still dark as hell but Tenma brought light into it. P.S. It's probably hard to be a fugitive, add to it Tenma being an asian guy in Germany and he's playing in hard mode.

2022-12-24 01:04:31 +0000 UTCI just love that they designated an episode specifically for Tenma's training so that it makes sense if we see Tenma holding his own in a gunfight in the future. They did the same with Nina in her martial arts class. I feel like a lot of shows/anime take liberties with their characters and have them do things that aren't really in line with their personalities or lifestyle. Guess it's the benefit of having a super long series. Fantastic episode though, one of my favorites
