Well, just when I think that this series can't access any darker subject matter...
This episode really highlights "appearances can be deceiving" yet again, as we meet Hartmann and Deiter and discover a lot more is politically at play, perhaps, with Johan's past and how he and the Liebert's ended up together in the first place. Tenma sure is leaving a trail behind him, though, isn't he?

I really don't want to know if characters come and go in this series or if they're only here for an episode, if that's cool! :) I want to be surprised by the series. And I did not grow up with posh things like GPS in the 90's, clearly, haha! :) But that's good to know!

2023-01-07 04:23:55 +0000 UTCJust before the intro, you talked about a lack of GPS, but did you forget that back in the day you didn't need a car for those little GPS devices? Though not in the 90s, it's true. Heckel is one of those characters that comes and goes. Like you noticed in the other episode, time passes between episodes where we don't see what they're doing, so you can guess that they're doing stuff together or apart, along with the episodes framing those time passages. Tenma really reminds me of George Stobbart from the Shadow of the Templars adventure game, always traveling and pretending to be someone he's not...
