FINALLY, after months of waiting to see how the 9th inning ends, we're finally here...and sadly, at the end of our Ace of the Diamond journey...for now, anyway.
This video was hard to prepare and sit down for, but it's time to rip the bandage off. Some questions answered, MANY more created, and my only hope is that this year, we get either an Act III or 4th season of the anime announcement. TJ, that would make our day, so please plan this!

Thanks to everyone who got me into this series and made me a believer in baseball, and for helping me to find my favorite sports anime! I've been in love ever since!

Long comments, yay! Trying to read so I don’t owe a pizza! ^^ I LOVE that team photo - it’s hard to see where the desk/chair is for the reaction, but I love lookin at it! In hindsight I TOTALLY agree that Yabe really put the cart before the horse on that one – and ahhhh, that makes sense that it’s the bottom of the lineup at the bottom of the 9th. Maybe Seidou truly got lucky, considering Sawamura’s injury. But talent is talent, and Seidou deserved that win! I love that Furuya comes full circle in the outfield with that play. White Lazer is proud, surely! Can we call Furuya “Ice Lazer” now? 😛 I’m also glad he got his senpais, there to give praise back to and drive Ono and Nori to tears! <3 And yeah, the game ends SO SUDDENLY – I would say that I’m a little sad because it doesn’t have that epic buildup but felt more…realistic? I guess it ends DIFFERENT than semifinals, so TJ’s not being repetitive, eh? BUT YES – THE HUG! I’ve saved that image in the Discord so I can change to it at some point because it’s so great! FINALLY! And our sunshine boy shedding happy tears that he can keep playing with his team and it getting his brother Kuramochi to cry?! Staaaahhhhppppp. And Kataoka coming full circle to praise him – comparing to when they first met? *sighs* It’s so good! The Chris and Miyuki praise though is so hilarious in how Sawamura almost can’t believe it! Itsuki crying is so sad and sweet – he really cares for Mei and wanted to keep playing with him. Definitely deserved a hug – which makes Mei hugging Miyuki right there so painful to watch Itsuki’s face. He looks like a puppy begging for a bone! I am glad that Mei and Miyuki got that final bit of closure – all the buildup with their backstories and they needed SOMETHING like that! And then MEI CRYING – and KUNITOMO being so soft?! I really hope we see Mei in the future – this game was as much his as Sawamura or Miyuki’s! And Chris still indulges him. These two, I swear! WE FOUND RAICHI. If there is any question I wanted answered, I’m glad TJ saw our frustration and answered it for us! But yeah, the tease of Hongo smiling at the thought of going against Sawamura? WHAT TEASING! I need to see this! AHAHAHAHAHA – the idea that Koshu just gets all the drinks for Sawamura from now on and holds them for him as he drinks! That’s hilarious; poor Koshu – literally emotional therapy for Sawamura and HE is the one traumatized! I agree, it IS good though to see Sawamura getting to be the sunshine boy we know him to be and get recognized for it! He’s definitely my favorite MC for a sports anime so far and I love him to pieces! Thank you SO MUCH for the kind words and for joining me so far on the Daiya journey and now throughout Kuroko’s Basketball – I think Kuroko has helped with some healing once the series was over, but I will be EAGERLY anticipating announcements on Season 4 and Act 3 and hopefully getting some time later this spring to start going back through the manga to re-experience some of the moments! :)

Honestly I didn't even know you had that teams photo stand thing of the Seidou boys let alone that it was on the shelf behind you this whole time. I love that. It's such a good picture too 🥰 It still makes me laugh that Yabe came up all cocky and confident that he'd hit the ball and reach Meis expectations lol. He even put his fist up when he hit it as if it wasn't going to be caught 😂 it's so funny looking at it now and I was cracking up when the raw came out. None of these guys are part of Inashiros cleanup though. Mei is 5, Itsuki 6, Yabe was 7 and Jinguuji was 8. Bottom half of their lineup so not the best group to have against Sawamura in the bottom of the 9th lol Furuyas throw home is still so dope. An absolute LAZER beam back to the plate right when you need it the most. I'm so proud of him lol. The panel showing that throw was also really cool. Really shows how much power he threw it with. Honestly people were so confused when the game ended lol not because it was particularly sudden but all of a sudden people couldn't math 😂 like they couldn't keep a hold of how many outs there were and then how many strikes Jinguuji had so a lot of people didn't believe it was over when it was and it was hilarious to watch. The hug though.... never getting over it tbh. If I ever change my phone lock screen again off of this other daiya one, it'll be that hug because wow. Finally. Just a Misawa centered team hug is all I could ever ask for and they looked so happy ❤️ I hate seeing Itsuki cry man. He's such a sweetheart and even with how difficult Mei can be, he's so loyal to him and really wanted to continue to work with him and help him and it does break my heart that he must be feeling all the guilt right now. He deserved a hug too. I would've never expected Mei to hug Miyuki at the end of it all but I'm so glad it happened. I think they spent most of their high school lives thinking of eachother as enemies and forget that they were also friends at the end of the day. I really do love their relationship and the way they respect eachother. Genuinely my favourite part of this volume is Sawamura mentally coming to the realization that they actually won and realizing how happy he is and what it all means. Him crying so openly is just so sweet and the fact that his crying set off KURAMOCHI?! Nah I just love their relationship so much. It's always so refreshing to get Kataoka praising Sawamura. He does it probably more than Miyuki does and we know how he feels about Sawamura as a pitcher but it really does make me happy because I know Sawamura would feel SO happy to hear it. WE FOUND RAICHI FINALLY. It really was the best feeling to finally see him again AND HE WAS SMILING. All is right with the world again. What kind of cruel tease of TJ to say that Hongo was smiling and not show us lol. How very dare you sir. Will we ever see him smile? We better. WHY DID WE HAVE TO SEE MY CAPRICORN KING CRYING AGAIN. Mei genuinely breaks my heart when he cries because I know he would only ever cry in front of someone when 1. He really trusts and respects them and 2. He's REALLY feeling the emotion of it all. He would never allow himself to be that vulnerable with just anyone and that hurts me so much. I adore Mei and I'm gonna miss the hell outta him. I'm glad at the end of it all, we got Chris and Miyuki both praising our boy lol. The 2 people that Sawamura values the opinion of the most and they're both generous with praises and making him feel good. I'm so glad. It was absolutely necessary for him to hear FINALLY and Chris will never stop being the absolute prince in Sawamuras life. I'm so glad that Furuya has his own senpais that have helped him so much, that he respects and looks up to and I'm glad he was able to genuinely express his appreciation for them. Nori felt that love so hard lmao its so fucking cute. How can people hate Furuya. Just a sweet polar bear bean. After all this, Koushuu isn't letting Sawamura hold a single bottle anymore ever lol. He will only drink from straws from now on that Koushuu provides while holding the cup or bottle for him! Koushuus about to be traumatized by bottles lol. I'm so glad we got to see our boy at Koshien again and that the audience was even excited to see him come on the field. Even more glad that the last panel was able to be Sawamura grinning so genuinely. Could live my whole life with that sunshine boy smiling like that in my brain. He deserves it and I love him so much. I'm sad it's over, and I'm sad you got spoiled about it but it really has been so wonderful watching you fall in love with this series. I appreciate that you gave it a genuine chance even though you didn't like baseball and had very little interest in understanding it lol. I'm also glad that you're loving Kuroko and that's its helped you slowly feel better about the ending of daiya. I dont know if anything will ever come along to beat daiya for you but I'm glad that at least for now, and for the foreseeable future, we all know that this one is the best and we can now traverse any new announcements together. On to act 3 and season 4!! 😛

2023-02-09 20:44:22 +0000 UTCdaiya is my favourite sports animanga ever, and my 2nd favourite animanga Ever only beaten by one piece and i REFUSE to finish it because i can’t handle the thought of not having any content left, so if i never finish it is it truly done??? i’m too much of a coward to finish it but i will say watching your reactions to the series was such a joy and it made me truly happy to see you love it as much as the rest of us do !!! i’m not gonna watch this because i haven’t moved past act ll with the power of denial but once i grow a pair to go through this i will definitely come back to this
