Run With the Wind: Episode 21 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

NEW REACTION LINK: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/7Z2oi584xVEdvUn7UYwcB2?

Man, honestly, I've liked Yuki and Nico's characters this whole series -- especially Yuki's once he and Shindo started bonding back in Episode 11/12, but THIS episode just made me appreciate Yuki a hundred times more!

And Nico getting to finally do what he loves without reservation? **Heart Clench** And Kakeru and Fujioka's declarations against one another?! Ooooh, these last two episodes are going to be INSANE, aren't they?

Thank you for watching the full length reaction and for the support!

RIGHT?! **cries in anime** is REAL. Yeah, it's hard to believe we've gone from Yuki -- complaining about Nico's smoke/clubbing/ranting about not running -- to him not only supporting Nico and Shindo, but also Kakeru and the others, forgiving his mother and asking for her apology, and being SUCH a caring person. It's SUCH a transformation in that year of being on the team! T_T And WOW, that is crazy! I like running, but the thought of a half-marathon is terrifying! Yeah, the WHOLE episode I had a rock in my stomach, thinking Yuki was going to slip going downhill and hurt himself -- I'm SO glad that didn't happen!! That would have just been the worst after we had that episode with Shindo!!

Yukiiiii! I love his arc over the series; I feel like he starts out so emotionally detached from the rest of the house, and in the end after he's let himself be vulnerable/care about the others, he can see his mom/family and look back with empathy, for them and himself. He made himself "lonely" in a way he couldn't recognize before (and probably felt was actually him being strong/not needing to rely on outside help), but now he wants to protect Kakeru from that. I JUST. **cries in anime** From a running perspective, I once ran a half marathon in San Francisco and going downhill at speed is no joke! I kind of threw caution to the wind and sprinted down most of the hills on the route; at a certain point you're not so much running as just making sure you've got a foot under you at the right time according to gravity's whims. It was about 75% "WHEEEEE" and 25% "If I misstep right now, I am going to mess myself up REAL BAD." I would be *so scared* to do that on a wet snowy road with a ton of switchbacks, omg.

I've always thought Yuki's character was fun; I liked him more when he started developing his friendship with Shindo, but THIS EPISODE definitely cemented him as an awesome character. And YES, Yuki = Snow. How fitting, right?! Nico and Sakaki having their character re-affirmed in this episode was great, too. UGH. And then, Haiji. Just....my simping for Haiji knows no bounds, and I can tell y'all that these next two episodes I have a feeling we're getting Kakeru/Haiji feels and I'm NOT READY. No, no bad episode in this series! And I agree, I've been watching each episode three times over (HiDive, Crunchyroll, English Dub) and it's good each time in all formats. :P

Yup, this was the episode that I fell in love with Yuki. The bleeding feet is something that does happen - the friction of running down hill. Yeah, Yuki running in the snow...remember Yuki means snow. Nico realizing how he truly feels about running and then running without reservations. As much as we dislike Sakaki, he is a well written character since we feel how we should about him. Haiji's view of the world and his teammates is deep. I've said it before there are NO bad episodes in RWTW. They writing is so tight, so deep and layered. This show is worth re-watching over and over again.
