Man...it's been a while since I've seen a more satisfying conclusion to a series. Tears were shed, souls were cleansed; this final episode was everything I wanted and MORE.

I'm going to work on reading it today and tomorrow in preparation! :) It's definitely one of those shows I feel I'm going to reference to a LOT, both in sports anime and slice of life, because it combines so many good things about both genres and is still sort of its own thing. Can we call it a sub-genre of "inspirational/spiritual" anime, hahaha! That's how its felt for me! Finally getting into Haiji's head for the race, seeing Kakeru showing emotion at Haiji rounding the corner at the end -- the tears, "IT'S YOU." My heart burst! I agree, supppper gush-worthy! :D :D I just love it! It definitely has that same feel-good vibe as Haikyuu, but there's certainly something special about it. <3

That moment when Kakeru looks at Haiji and says "It's you...you are the meaning of running to me." (Yup I ship it!!) The Sound direction on this show is amazing and that creaking! If you watch closely there are a few frames you can see Haiji limping before the moment when be blows out his knee. I can not GUSH enough about this show. When I watched it I had not one to gush to about it, so I re watched it multiple times myself and then I searched for all the reactors I could find to enjoy the story with others. Just like Haikyuu I can never get enough of it. I got all the same feels I get when watching Haikyuu. Also gave you the link to the Light Novel (novelupdates.com)
