Mo Dao Zu Shi: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

NEW LINK: https://share.vidyard.com/watch/yRQY7Fea6htwcu63qUnGs1?

Well, I thought last episode was hard, but...this one's just as difficult!

Wen Ning is trying his BEST, y'all! And the poor guy just doesn't catch a break, from Cheng or his sister! Speaking of Cheng, my pity for the guy continues to pile up...seriously?! First he loses his family, and now THIS?!

WuXian, it's hard for a chaotic gremlin to hold this all together, right? I feel for you. I do.

Thank you so much for watching the full length reaction and for the support!

Thank you so much for the comment! It was confusing in the moment but that makes sense that they melted his core when was captured. Poor Cheng! T_T That makes sense that Qing is his sister (thank you for that info) and that Baoshan is a woman! Interesting!! @.@ And AH, that symbolism -- the clouds blocking the sun -- I LOVE IT!! Thank you for the kind words! This show just gets better and better!

I definitely get Banana Fish Sing vibes from Ning (doesn't hurt their name rhyme) in terms of being a fan boy to the main protagonist. ;) I feel he is the side-MVP of all this, saving WuXian and Cheng so many times while at the Pier (thanks for the info about his sister, too)! And Cheng just breaks my heart! It didn't hit me until you mentioned it that WuXian was still injured when he took the fall for Cheng. UGH. That's so hard...I feel for both of these boys, who have seemingly lost everything. And then there's Wangji, who is pining so hardcore. I just...I can't....our boy PINING for WuXian. My, how the tables have turned. @.@

This episode and the last really makes me feel SO bad for Cheng because all of these things against him are not necessarily his fault. Losing his family, the loss of his core, UGH. Thank you for not spoiling me! I'll be intrigued to see what happens, but yeah....ugh, I hate it for him! Oooh, and thank you! I'm planning on reading the novel at some point once I finish the seasons, but YES! Bookmark that and I'm sure it'll get brought up again later! Thank you for the comment!

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but Jiang Cheng didn't lose his core during the battle. Wen Zhuliu melted it when he was captured in this episode, and then left with Wen Chao for some clan business whatsoever. The sequence was probably confusing enough to make you assume that. Wen Qing is related to Ning, and she's actually his sister. They are very close siblings and you'll see it in the next episodes. Wen Qing seems like a harsh or rude person only at the beginning)) Also, wanted to note that Baoshan Sanren is a woman, so she's tecnically Wuxian's grandmother, not grandfather, lol. Wangji's phrase "Someone has to take the lead" is so symbolic, because each sect has its sign or symbol. Gusu Lan represents clouds (“Cloud recesses”, white robes with patterns of clouds), while Qishan Wen sect is associated with the Sun. The fact that Lans want to become the head of rebellion against the Wens is VERY symbolic. Like clouds trying to battle against the Sun. Thank you for reaction!

Wei Wuxian = self sacrifice. Ning = ultimate best boy. She is his sister. Ning and his sister are part of a smaller side sect within the Wen Clan. She is the leader of their smaller sect, which is part of Yiling area and the the sect is all doctors. I always thought that Jiang Cheng was captured and then had his core melted. Wei found him in a random room they had tossed Cheng into as a prisoner. Then in the process of running away they were saved by Ning who just happened to be staying Wei Wuxian's room. I think we can all say that Wen Ning is a WWX fan boy. Jiang Cheng is completely broken and lost. The losing of his core just broke him further, as now he does not have the power to take his revenge. Wei Ying will do anything for Cheng even before Madame Yu ordered him to protect Cheng. You have to remember that when WWX caught JC in that fall he prevent JC from taking the brunt of it, Instead even with his back that still had the wounds from his whipping WWX too the brunt of it. My boy is always sacrificing himself for others, while trying to do the right thing. Both JC and WWX have been affected by the events they have just survived and you can feel the somber atmosphere between them. And Yes, the change in Lan Wangji is huge. The way he is now showing concern for WWX and the Jiang siblings (but mostly WWX). The way he says WWX name, almost tenderly and with affection. My boy is changing.

Yeah, Jiang Cheng loses everything then gets so jaded in the future. He lost his parents and his clan, then his core, his sister, and his adoptive brother. How he got captured is spoilers, but his core got dissolved after he was captured, not in the battle at Lotus Pier. Wen Qing is Ning’s sister, she was just pissed that Ning was putting himself and their branch of the family in danger by helping them. The clans absorbed into the Wen clan didn’t take the Wen name. Like in the archery competition, Wen Chao mentioned that Wen Ning’s lineage is so distant he’s barely a Wen - that goes for the entire branch of his family. Baoshan Sanren could be considered Wei Ying’s mother’s former clan leader, except it wasn’t really a clan. I only really have one big issue with the adaptations – both the live action and the donghua – but I think it’s probably best to tell you after you finish both. Not sure about the audio drama, since I haven’t finished it, and I’m not sure if it has to do with Chinese censors, but it really irritates me since it was something I really liked about the book.
