This may be my favorite thing from Eternal Summer! I LOVED Episodes 10-13, don't get me wrong...but this? This was AMAZING. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thanks, Free!

I love that we get the hint that Rin was in the maid costume the year prior, but even the show isn't going to go that crazy! Haha! This episode was SO much fun; playing off the personalities of these characters and pairing them in ways we haven't seen this season -- like Nagisa and Momo having to interact! And poor Kisumi; he just wanted to hang out with the guys and he's used as a shield! :D Ahhh, I cannot IMAGINE the fanbase with the Mako/Haru comment by Nagisa at the time...hmmm...yeah, there's no telling what Nagisa would have said! I love that Sousuke and Haru acknowledge each other by the end of the episode! I'm curious to see how it will -- if it will -- play into the future of the show! Also! OH! And yes, thank you! You've helped me get these links for these specials, so I appreciate it so much! :D

2021-03-24 02:34:50 +0000 UTCAhhh, so glad you got to watch this! It's so fun and carefree, really playing into the silliness of it all! And you nailed it: there is TONS of fanart of Rin as a maid. And some of it is even quite tasteful! :P Favorite moments: Sosuke feeding a bent-over Rin. That's, like, one of the most fan-service-y things I could possibly imagine. At least, *this* fan was very serviced, haha. Nagisa's cold-blooded streak, especially the way he dispatched Rei. And Rin holding a 'dying' Rei in his arms added a few more crumbs for the RinRei fans out there. Kisumi getting drenched as collateral damage always makes me laugh. And then friggin' Nagisa trying to change the subject when Sosuke asks what they're talking about... his sentence about Mako and Haru that got cut off had the fandom going NUTS back in the day. I mean, Mako and Haru seemed pretty alarmed he might continue! I totally agree about the OVA, this is such a strong end for season 2. Starting Days is very cute and that'll be fun to revisit, too. Also, just to line up my cacophony of usernames, I'm DastardlyBastard on discord, if it wasn't obvious ^^
