The plot hits the ground running, and there's a lot set up, and a lot to talk about! I'm soooo happy My Hero Academia is back -- this season is just getting started!

I realllllllly like Hawks, too, so seeing his character explored from here on out is going to be SO MUCH FUN. The complex web, symbolism, and relationships between Haws/Endeavor/Dabi is going to be soooo great animated (though SO tragic) and I'm so hyped to see it partially go down this season! There's so much to dive in with his character and I just want him to be happy and content as well by the end of this series! :D Thanks for the comment!!

2021-04-05 17:40:12 +0000 UTCHawks is one of my favourite characters so you can imagine how pumped I am about getting his panels from manga finally animated. His childhood is extremely sad, going from one toxic environment to basically another (the hero commission), and still being able to preserve his integrity and let's say goodwill of his true character but having it buried under so many other personas, just makes me really sad. What makes me happy tho is his high regard for Endeavor with whom he actually develops a pretty solid and healthy partnership/relationship as the series/manga progresses. Hawks haven't been dealt the best cards in his life and I just want him to be happy content and without a worry in the world.

Yeah, it feels odd to be back with My Hero Academia after a year (it doesn't seem like that long!), but oh my goodness, Shoto slurping the noodles and delivering that "burn" of a line...Mannnnnn...GOLD. And I cannot BELIEVE Dabi and Zenitsu have the same VA! That IS some range, now! @.@

It's sort of a weird feeling for me to be watching MHA again, because I started & binged the whole series right at the beginning of quarantine last year, so it's almost kind of a bookend for me of the pandemic. (Not that *that's* over quite yet, but you get what I mean.) Shoto dropping that line and then staring, deadpan, as he slurps his noodles is just *chef kiss* XD Re: voice actors, having fairly recently watched Demon Slayer, it's so funny to me that Dabi and Zenitsu have the same VA. The man has range!
