Tokoyami shined last episode, but this one is all about Momo, Kendo, and STRATEGY.
Oh, and Komori and her terrifying mushrooms...but yeah, STRATEGY.
The sickly sweet factor was up this episode, and this episode proves that Class 1A isn't guaranteed victory EVERY battle...but...now, we have the last three group matches, and each have our top three boys! It should get interesting!

Yes, looking back on the manga for this fight -- it was more the humor of Komori, Comic, and finishing Tokoyami's arc in this fight -- I am sad he got caught up with fungi in his throat. :( And YES, Kendo gets to shine this fight, but I do get frustrated that Momo gets overpowered a lot because of her lack of self-confidence -- it's something I hope gets rectified in the future of the series. Regardless, there was fun in this episode, but I am REALLY looking forward to the last three group battles, now that we have Shoto, Bakugo, and Deku to worry about. ^^

2021-05-04 14:33:14 +0000 UTCYeah, this is one of the shorter matches, and doesn't have a lot of intense melee fights. So they padded this one with recaps and flashbacks and repetitive animation of Kendo vs Momo in order to fill a whole episode. Too bad, because Momo and Tokoyami are often getting short-changed given their power and coolness, but like you said it's a match that doesn't have any of the main characters in it. I'm confident the future episodes will have better flow.
