No. 6 Episode 3 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

The OP/ED imagery of Shion and Rat (aka Nezumi) finally makes sense, but there's still a LOT of questions about the world of No. 6 and "outside" the walls of it -- and there's some interesting foreshadowing and set up of things to possibly worry about in the future!

2021-05-08 22:42:40 +0000 UTCThat cutting out of the pupa was ROUGH; I'm glad that's over with, now! And yesss, the contrast and ways that Shion and Rat "compliment" each other is really nice! I think each of them can learn from the other...as long as they stay together! The ending of this episode was a bit ominous, eh? "Touch-starved" is a good word for his actions -- yeah, the way he ran his hand down his head and touched his cheek. I think he definitely cares for Shion, and is naturally showing it, maybe (like you said) to see how Shion would react. It's definitely a softer, more romantic gesture than Safu's cold and sanitized textbook definition. Hmmm...things to think about. Oh! And Dog Loan (I'm just calling everyone such literal names -- Inukashi is prettier -- being non-binary is intriguing! Hmmm, I am probably going to start the manga after this next episode, so that would be neat to note. But I do like her character so far! Thanks! I'm definitely excited to see what this outside world surrounding No. 6 is like!

2021-05-06 04:03:30 +0000 UTCUgh, that scene is still hard to watch. Seeing Shion ask Nezumi to kill him is just </3. Also, yeah I love the balance of "Analytical and Empathetic" with "Passionate and Callous", makes for some really compelling stuff. And Nezumi is so haughty and world-weary, convinced he's right in his ways... a perfect character to learn a lesson or two about humanity from the good-natured Shion. I have a feeling that Nezumi has been fairly touch-starved ever since the day Shion saved his life. He's not overly handsy but the way he ruffles Shion's hair and strokes the mark on his cheek... idk how to explain it, it seems so soft and also inquisitive about how Shion might react. Inukashi is great! I'm not sure why in my head they are non-binary... can't remember if it's canon from the anime or the novels or just a headcanon. Oh well, they rule either way :P I look forward to the next episodes where we get to find out a bit more about this outside world.

The OP is pretty iconic already, but the overall OST is really well done so far, especially to establish the dread with the wasp this episode. And yesssss....I didn't have any qualms with wasps...until this show. That may change, now. The symbolism in the show has been really well done so far, and as much as it hurt to see Shion in pain, it did help establish what the wasp was doing to him...and DOG LOAN! Hahahaha, Inukashi! Glad to know she has a "name," like "rat." :P Not going to lie, surprised there haven't been dog cuddling hotels already opened. Thank you for the kind words and have a great day, too!!

2021-05-05 11:50:20 +0000 UTCOne thing I like about reactions is that I often start to notice the Soundtrack. When I first watch shows I don't really pay much attention to it. After watching No.6 I can't see wasps the same way anymore. XD The symbolism with the books and all. Wonderful. The way they showed us how painful it was for Shion was interesting. From what it looks like it feels like being burned alive. Inukashi is here!! I love her a lot. Wish you a wonderful day!!
