This episode is far from filler, though, as we not only get character development, but a surprising amount of set up and foreshadowing...which is definitely OMINOUS, despite the humor and bright colors!

YES! A reverse troll by MAPPA! I'm all here for it! There was surprisingly a lot of character development in this episode! And yesss, the Maki and Mai connection was wonderful this episode! I am excited for the fall movie! I really hope season two comes out in conjunction or right after it, though! :D Even if it was in the spring, I'd be here for it! ^^

2021-05-09 03:56:21 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite things in this episode (there was a lot lol) was during the baseball scenes and the little factoids about each character Miwa's was something like "The mangos she had left in the fridge went missing" and then later Mai's was "Used to hate mangos but recently got over it". For some reason that had me cracking up so hard🤣 maybe because you have to think about it for a second and then the lightbulb goes off lmao

2021-05-09 02:11:31 +0000 UTCThe baseball in this OP was like the opposite of happy Junpei in the first; you assume it's metaphorical imagery for bonding or whatever, and then it actually happens and you're delighted! (Instead of, you know, the crushing despair delivered by the first cour.) Soooooo much great character stuff and setup for the future in this one. I would love love love to see season 2 come out around October, though I wonder how they're planning to time it around the movie release of JJK 0. My favorite little detail from this is how Mai is the first one to yell "Nice pitch!", however contentious her relationship is with Maki, she appreciates seeing Todo get taken out. XD
