Added 2021-05-11 13:00:05 +0000 UTCThis episode seems quieter on the surface, perhaps, but there's a LOT of dark undertones and sinister set up in this episode, especially in regards to the West Block...also, Shion's mother has an intriguing past connection, that may be tied to Rat (aka Nezumi)?
Rat seems to want to keep Shion at arm's length, but is it for Shion's sake...or Rat's? Hmmm...

2021-05-12 01:36:26 +0000 UTCYES! Lots of parallels to Eiji from Banana Fish this episode, especially where Inukashi (Dogloan) is concerned! After hearing the mangaka took inspiration, I can definitely see the parallels! And yessss, Nezumi is good at putting up a front, but love can be hard to hide, as it is for him, and that just adds to the fact that he's a stage actor! And yeah, Shion's mom being privvy to the outside world....interesting set up, here! Thanks for the kind words and have a great day, too!

2021-05-11 23:01:47 +0000 UTCThis episode Shion reminded me a lot of Eiji. People warm up to both of them. Nezumi shows his emotions and Inukashi talks about her mother. Something they normaly wouldn't do. You can clearly see the parallel between No.6 and Bananafish. Nezumi is trying to hide that he has strong feelings for Shion but he's too obvious. He failed pretty fast. XD Who would have thought that Shion's mother knows about the situation outside of No.6. It's so interesting that Nezumi is an stage actor. I really like that.
