Patreon gift merch on pause
Added 2025-08-23 02:16:00 +0000 UTCSo some frustrating news has happened where the USA Orange man has decided to remove something called the 'de minimis threshold exception' on all items coming by post into the USA, which basically means there will be new tariffs for Americans ordering things online AND also for people who are shipping gifts to friends, family or in my case to my USA patrons.
This goes into full effect on August 29th however ALL shipping services from Australia right now have put a pause on shipping to the USA until more information can be given on how the tariffs will work.
This has affected my Etsy and here on patreon as a majority of my audience are American and because of this for the moment the Spring & Winter Patreon gift merchandise is on hold.
Once things are sorted I will then see how I proceed forward whether I'm still able to offer merch like keychains etc or if I'll only be able to do stickers/sticker sheets/prints as the patreon gift merch, or if I'll have to scrap that tier reward altogether.
It's all up in the air right now, but as the situation develops I'll be able to update everyone here on what will happen.

All postal services here where I live have halted all sending to the USA so this has already started to cause a lot of problems and the 29th of August hasn't even arrived yet! I would be really sad too if I couldn't sell to USA customers anymore, and I'd be REALLY sad if I'd have to change the patreon merch gift reward or remove it altogether. Here's hoping the exception gets reversed or that the tariff system gets sorted quickly. Although the downside is shipping from my country is already expensive, having to add a tariff on top of it may end up making it impossible to do merch other than stickers/prints in the end. Sigh. This is just a whole ass mess and I'm not even american =__=
