My Hero Academia Season 5: Episode 9 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

LINK TO REACTION: https://streamable.com/aok0r4

Bakugo's logic going into this match against Class 1B? "FLAWLESS VICTORY!" And our boy has a pretty solid team and strategy to get the job done this episode!

Lots of character foreshadowing, building, and development with our fiery gauntlet wearing chihuahua and the others, and it honestly has me REALLY excited for what is to potentially come this season!

Thank you for watching and I hope you enjoy the reaction! Thanks for the support!

My Hero Academia Season 5: Episode 9 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Oooooohhhh! That's amazing about Sato -- maybe Horikoshi will find a way to weave in more of his storyline later on? I saw in an interview that he's planning on using Sero for some big things, which has me EXCITED! Maybe the other classmates will get the same treatment, too?

Oh, that's right, they did leave that moment with Bakugo and the drums out!! Hahahaha, I'm glad they at least kept Kaminari and Kirishima's moment in here...yeah, Bakugo...he reminded me so much of Endeavor in this episode! "Winning to save" indeed! :P

The author of MHA said in an interview that he had to cut a planned bit about Sato (Sugar Rush) and his backstory and powers during the sports festival, because it would have ruined the pacing of the story. So we didn't even get to learn his powers until the exam against the teachers, and this is really his first moment to shine. He's a lot like Ojiro - strong, but not compared to his classmates. Him, Sero, Ojiro and Mina all need more time to shine.

Everytime you talked about not remembering this arc and then said Bakugo was "not a team player" it made me chuckle. I was sad last season that they left out one scene from the cultural festival - the one where Bakugo wanted to do cool drum solos, but had to force himself to keep his drumming slower to match the others because that's the only way to "win at music", which is what Kaminari and Kirishima were referencing.

That's very true about Bakugo's team! Yessss, Bakugo has NEVER settled for ANYTHING, so it only makes sense that it rubs off on everyone else! :) Yes, Bakugo embodied the whole point of the mission, here, and despite being a blockhead at times, he did the job! :) It was definitely the best battle! That's a good point about the other teams not having that confident leadership going in...but yeah, Deku's matttttchhhhh -- there is SO much in this season I'm looking forward to that we have to get to, and the next match is officially the gateway to all of that. FINALLY! ^^

I think the crucial difference bt the other teams and Bakugo’s that made such a difference is the mentality in which they went into the fight. All the other teams are seen saying things like “we should avoid this person” or “we should take this one first or we are doomed”. Bakugo’s team on the other hand went in completely confident that whoever they ended up fighting against they would win over. By sharing his confidence wt the rest of the team and trusting them, Bakugo in turned made his team confident that they would win. None of them heaitated for a second. Like Eraserhed and All Might said in the Sports Festival Arc, there’s a difference between those who aim for the top and those who settle. And Bakugo’s team further proved that in this episode. After all, in a real situation you are not thinking “as long as we get the majority of the villains and less of the heroes are taken, we’ll win”. In a real situation, the heroes will go in sure that they will take every villain without losing or injuring any of the heroes. That’s why they won so effectively in my opinion. Is Bakugo hot headed and has no clue on how to communicate? Yes. But he’s also the only one that understood the true purpose of this exercise: to prove you can be a true hero who saves everyone. I loved it. Best battle yet imo. Plus, their teamwork was FLAWLESS. Having a leader who takes charge and trusting each other can go a long way. The other teams all ended up either not having a clear leader or the leader not being as effective because they ended up separating w/o having a good plan as to what to do if that happened. Still, a little sad that we didn’t get to see much of the 1B team since 1A was so awesome 😅. I am excited for Deku’s match BUT I am more excited for the next arc.
