My mother coached and played basketball for years and my dad was an avid football player/watcher, too, so those sports I get, but baseball? That being said, this show at least is going to teach me about it (along with all the lessons on Nakama, hahaha!!).

I've been to 3 baseball games in my life and each time I was lost and couldn't understand what was happening on the the field at all lol. I'm like, "Where is the dramatic slo-mo?! The running speedlines?!" But no, all you see are a bunch a guys standing on a field really far away and a ball that is so tiny your eyes can't keep track of it😂. As with most sports, I much prefer baseball in anime form. I will say though that watching Prince of Tennis inspired me to play tennis in my teen years and it's the only sport where I always know what's happening at all times if I watch a real game lol

I can tell that he, along with some of these other characters, are going to get me on board with the show! Thanks for the comment!! :D

The MC , Eijun was a bit too traditional for me and the show initially was not as captivating as I hoped. But the catcher Miyuki, got me hooked lol. He is a troll and he has that cool charisma and confidence. It was the only reason I kep watching the show innitially , later on I just got attached to characters .

Yes, I can see a similar vibe to Haikyuu!! -- maybe with more masculinity! Hahaha -- again, Ejun = Kirishima! :P Ooooh, really? Hmmm, I may, as I get closer to the end of Season 1, ask you all to let me know which episodes are just recaps, and what OVA's to watch instead! Thank you for the heads up on that! The show is already off to a good start and thank you for the catch about Masuko! I just watched the next batch of episodes and realized it right at the end. *facepalm* I appreciate it! I'm actually really looking forward to this show! :D

Don’t worry too much about not liking baseball, this show manages to make it fast paced and interesting. This anime is very similar to Haikyuu in terms of character development, friendship, friendly rivalries and sport realism so I really think you’ll come to love it. And, yes, it’s pretty long so I think it’s a good idea to watch multiple episodes per reaction. Plus, once the “intro arc” ends and the matches start, it goes by pretty quick. It honestly doesn’t feel quiet as long. **The second and third season start with multiple recap episodes that you should skip and replace with the ova imo…they don’t really have any new scenes or anything. And, OMG you are right! Eijun’s totally a Kirishima type. And Miyuki and Kuramochi are such trolls and I love them. I can’t wait for you to meet the rest of the team. 💕 And yes! This anime is different from other popular ones because the team is already amazing. In most sports anime, we don’t ever see the MC having fight for a spot in the team bc they often don’t even have enough players. But here, the rivalries within the team will hit different. ps. I think you missed it, but the reason Masuko is not talking is bc he took an oath to not do so until he makes the starting line again after his mistake.
