The team is slowly coming together, but Maki makes a startling discovery that could point to why the soft tennis club hasn't won a match in years...we also get more with Toma and the horrific backstory for Itsuki! I want to give him ALL the hugs, now!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

I find that a little sad, that the mom didn't expect him to invite friends over, but I'm glad she was welcoming to them -- And YES! His actions are mature for his age, but at the end of the end of the day, they're all middle schoolers. And yes, the OST has been really nice so far! I think Ryoma is a good brother and yes, I'm curious to know why she's like that, but I also appreciate the message Ryoma tells his brother -- that it's okay to not be on "perfect" terms with his parents, and that there's nothing wrong with him for it. I also agree that the teacher handled that situation well; yeah, the boy didn't deserve to be hit with the racket, but he should not have been so cruel to Itsuki. I like that the teacher read the situation for what it was and did the right measures to reprimand, but not necessarily punish. And YES! The parallels with Itsuki and Maki and their home life -- their parents that have abused them...how WOULD you just talk to someone about something like that. I loved that Ituski has found someone to possibly relate to in Maki, even if he doesn't truly realize just how much they hold in common. Thank you for the kind words and comment and have a great day, toO!

Yes, I like a good traditional sports anime, but there's something about a character-driven story like this that gets me on board with the sport in the background as the glue; I like that it's almost a sanctuary for these boys away from their traumatic lives outside of the court. :'( So very true!

This show covers a lot of different family situations and that is what makes it interesting. Soft tennis just ties all the boys together as teammates and friends, while we learn about their home life. It is the team that gives them a space to step away from all that angst at home.

I guess the Mother didn't expect that Maki would have someone over. I like that even though Maki is really mature he still reacts like someone his age would. I love the OST in this show, especially the one they used during the game. It's good that Ryoma told Touma that it isn't his fault they don't get along. I'm sure it must be hard to think/know that one of your parents hate you. I'm sure there must be a reason why the relationship is so bad, I can't imagine that she just treats him like that without any reason. The guy deserved to get hit but definitely not with a racket. The teacher was great. He understands that they're just kids that make a lot of dumb and impulsive things and need to learn what is right or wrong. "To admit your mom poured boiling water on you... that's tough to say." It's also perfect for Maki's situation because it's also hard to admit that your dad hits you. Probably one of the reasons he can't tell anyone about it. Wish you a wonderful day!!
