THIS EPISODE! This is in my top five for the series by far -- WHAT A SEASON FINALE! It had everything I wanted to end the season and get us hyped for what is possibly to come! The ships, the feels, the elaborate chess game strategy...it's all Bungo Stray Dogs, and I'm so ready for what's to come!

The rainbowwwwww; show, we see you. <3 And both Atsushi and Akutagawa got to reconnect with people they care about...awww!! Steinbeck is SUPER intriguing! His motivations, how he can go from being endearing to intimidating/creepy -- he's such a neat character and hopefully we get to see more of him! Yeah, I totally see the Poe x Rampo ship, and I'm here for it! Poe is so shy and adorkable in this episode...with KARL! ^^ On the opposite end, I find Mori interesting, but he can be definitely creepy. And yeah, Dazai...still afraid to open himself to happiness and friendship, which is sad. But that's so cool about the stage play! I'm so excited for Season 3! XD "Here's some murder books" That got me. XD THE SIBLING HUG?! That's all I needed. I'm so happy for Akutagawa but the way he passed out with the tears, I cannot. XD Steinbeck is still so intriguing for me. Everytime I think I get a feel for his character he does or say something that makes me wonder how he really is and feels. Yes, Poe and Rampo is a ship and of course I'm one of the shippers myself. XD Mori is interesting and creepy and sometimes he's that 'you're disgusting creepy'. I can totally see that Dazai doesn't celebrate with them because he's afraid to get too attached and then loses them all over again. I've just seen that a new bsd stageplay got announced which is about the happenings of the first episodes of season 3. That's what you call timing. XD Wish you a wonderful day!!

And that is so cool about the painting actually being by the real Dazai, haha!! And OHHHMYYGOSSSHH when Dazai talked about the beautiful life, the old man connected it back to Oda! 😭😭 And thank you for the info!! I'd seen the phrase SouKoku thrown around, but I didn't understand it! Now it all makes sense! Hahaha!

Babies are now properly initiated into Agency, Mafia is portrayed as sort of family as well... and there is a new threat!! Russian arc go! YEah! Mori had kinda downplayed the veiled threat form Kouyou, hinting that he's only fine with bullying coming from Elise-chan. Dazai and Hirotsu meet at the Yokohama Arts Museum, by the painting done by IRL Dazai XD And of course everything went 'keikaku doori' with him. There's the reason Atsushi+Akutagawa are called Shin-Soukoku, "New Double Black" by the fandom! (and not only them refer to Double Black... huhu) Ten'imuhou means Flawless, of course.

2021-08-22 19:20:17 +0000 UTCI have really come to appreciate it this second season how the author knowledge and details of the series reflect their real life selves -- it's so cool! And YES! I absolutely agree that him and Atsumu are similar characters and Miyano is perfect for them!

2021-08-22 18:28:43 +0000 UTCBSD has such depth with multiple layers. Then you add the deep knowledge that the author has for the authors(characters) and their works making BSD so interesting. Everything is so intricately weaves together. And yes Miyano is PERFECT as Dazai. Dazai (and even Atsumu) fit Miyano's personality - flirtatious, playful, schemer that can be serious when needed.

2021-08-22 16:51:04 +0000 UTCfun fact the painting that dazai and hirotsu sit in front of and that dazai says "what a weird painting, i bet even i could do it," is actually a painting done by the real author dazai osamu, so i bet dazai actually could do it haha. this is my first time commenting but i really enjoy your reactions to bsd (it's one of my fave animes) and i always look forward to watching them every week, and i really enjoy hearing your thoughts on it as well, it reminds me why i love bsd so much :) i'm looking forward to seeing your reactions to the ova, movie and s3!

2021-08-22 16:46:44 +0000 UTCI will likely never have a pet raccoon, but if I do, it's name shall be Karl. <3 That's actually a REALLY good point I hadn't considered...Francis was just a training exercise for Akutagawa and Atsushi at the end of the day. That's also quite disturbing, because like you said, there was a LOT of collateral damage, so....how bad is Fyodor, then? @_@ Hm. And ooooh, that is true -- Chuuya's power being OP like that. That said, Chuuya seems pretty devoted to the PM, so he probably wouldn't leave, eh? But yeah, I was skeptical of that line, too, except for the time limit aspect - that's a good point! So much to look forward to in Season Three! :D :D

2021-08-22 16:18:30 +0000 UTCI love how at the end it’s basically established how Dazai didn’t truly see Francis as much of a threat. He used him to get our boys to work together & prepare them for the upcoming threat and to help Kyoka pass the exam. He basically turned Francis into a training exercise and I love it. It establishes just how strong Dazai truly is AND prepares you to what’s to come…because if Francis who almost destroyed the entire city and two organizations wasn’t really a threat then just how powerful is this Fyodor?! Learning about the president’s ability was so satisfying to me because I had spent two seasons frustrated about the “plot hole” that Atsushi was suddenly able to control his ability. I was so relieved there was actually a reason for this. The only aspect of it that made me sad was that it confirmed to me that there’s no way in hell that Chuuya could ever join the agency. He would be way too OP if he gained control over corruption. 😅 Something more powerful than the former double black? I am very skeptical that their team up could be more powerful than Chuuya and Dazai…as of now, the only thing this new team has going for it is that Chuuya and Dazai had a time limit since Chuuya’s body cant handle being under corruption for too long. I guess we will have to wait and see whether Atsushi & Akutugawa can surpass their predecessors. ps. Karl and Poe are the CUTEST 💕💕
