I talk about the light novel "Dazai's Entrance Exam" in this reaction as well, and how fitting -- as it ties right into Kunikida! The light novel gave me a new appreciation for his character, and this OVA just furthered it! If anyone were fit to lead the ADA after the current President, it'd be Kunikida...now...hopefully that isn't a death flag for him, right?

You would LOVE Dazai's Entrance Exam if you like Kunikida -- the story being from his perspective is so neat and it adds more weight to episodes 6 and 7 from the first season. That isn't funny of Dazai anymore. That even hurt me. XD Kunikida is just a really interesting and good character and everytime we focus on him I fall in love all over again. 2021-08-30 04:11:39 +0000 UTCAya is easily a great character, and I'm sad her appearances are so limited. She is another of those characters that don't have abilities that are named after a writer. The real life Aya Kouda was one of the seemingly few long lived authors, living to her 80s, and was the daughter of an author, and was the mother and grandmother of more writers. I just think it's neat.

Hearing a story from Kunikida's perspective; he's really quite passionate, isn't he? Despite that hardened exterior! I really love the duo that he and Dazai make! :D I really like that even the OVA characters are based off of writers in this instance! :) And Dazai hacking into Kunikida's phone...what a troll! Having them as partners from the very start, reading as Kunikida decides to trust Dazai in his most dangerous schemes... ah, they were made for each other to bicker with and complement. Kunikida is good for Dazai, striving for ideals even though they are impossible to reach. We cynic people can't help but admire the type. Koda Aya is of course a writer as well! I loved her father, Koda Rohan, as a character in another anime. As for Kunikida's phone, I think Dazai hacks it every Tuesday just to put in another disturbing image and mess up his schedule XD Death flag for Fukuzawa? Hmhm, who knows who might get hurt, it is a long story after all. Soo, Dead Apple next time? So hyped!! Btw, I think Twitter link in Patreon profile doesn't work?
