We get focus, FINALLY, on Shingo and Tsubasa, and my hopes that they had perfectly normal families went immediately up in smoke -- seriously, can I just adopt all of these boys so they can have a normal home life?!
And we get further information on Nao and his personality...I feel so badly for him! This episode was the most "tense" overall, but with an injury on the team, I'm worried how this will affect the moral of everyone in the next episode!

Right?! I agree about Maki and Shingo's parents and Nao -- sometimes, you get caught up in something and it starts to be come reality. I definitely like that the show doesn't paint Nao as a "villain" or as someone mean, but as a "victim" of abuse and someone that needs support, like so many other characters in the show. And I felt the SAME WAY about Tsubasa and his brothers! I thought, "Oh! An actual happy family" -- and then the dad shows up. -__- And yessss, the subtle details in this show -- the glances, the tone of the characters' voices on certain lines, they are SO well done, here. And agreed; not a show that has time for ships, really, but Shingo and Tsubasa are Best Bros and I love them. :3 Thanks so much for the kind words and comment! Have a great day, too!

2021-09-05 11:52:04 +0000 UTCThere are so many horrible parents that we focus on that we need to appreciate Maki's mother and Shingo's father even more. Nao's eyes are so empty this episode. A lot of times he doesn't have the glow in it and it's so sad. I know a lot of people who didn't liked the first half of the episode whith Nao but for me it hit really close to home. I had to lie about something for years to almost every person I knew and there was a time I started to believe it myself. So this episode is really important to me and is definitely my second fav episode of the show. When we got to see Tsubasa and his brothers I was so happy because it looked like his home life was actually pretty nice and then the father came in and I knew something was gonna happen. Tsubasa looking away from the doctor when he told him he just fell is such a good detail. It looked like it hurt Tsubasa more that his father didn't react at all than the fact that he hit him. I don't really ship much in this show either because it's just not the right show for it but I do ship Tsubasa and Shingo. They're relationship is wholesome. Wish you a wonderful day!!
