Stars Align: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Link to Reaction: https://pixeldrain.com/u/CdEnee3N

I am very sad that the creator of this series was only given 12 episodes for it, because I've really enjoyed this show...and now that it's over...it just doesn't feel like it has closure. THAT ENDING?!

Shoooooowwwwwwwwwwwww....  I have conflicting thoughts, but overall, I've really enjoyed this series. I can't wait to talk about the final episode with you all!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Stars Align: Episode 12 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Yes! When creators have a passion project, I just want to root for them!! I hope that he is able to get his series completed at some point! I will definitely watch the rest if he does! Mitsue's growth has been SO WONDERFUL this season! I have come to love her character and how she went from apathetic to cheering the team on. And yes, why can't we have nice things with Toma and Maki?! Yeah, the smile felt out of character, but we'll definitely need to talk about this in the livestream... ...and about the translations of those lines?! WHAT THE HECK?!?! I'm assuming Maki is talking about Toma not wanting to see him?! So wait, Toma and Maki go to different high schools...I'm assuming because Toma moves to his dad's and it's where the twins are...but Maki and Arashi on a team, possibly!? I mean, THE POTENTIAL of that, but also...I feel so bad for Toma, because he clearly seems unhappy...as does Nao. :( And that the kids split after middle school...what the heck? Definitely want to talk about it all more... Thank you for the comment and have a wonderful day, too!

That is true -- as conflicted as I feel about the ending just...stopping -- I'm glad he stuck to his ideas and didn't rush an ending just to give a conclusion...I hate that he hasn't gotten a chance to finish the series! It reminds me a bit of Slam Dunk, which we can talk about in the livestream! Thank you for the twitter link too -- I really hope he's able to fulfill his story all the way, through.

That's awesome the creator is still actively trying to get the series up and going again! I really hope they do, because I would be very interested in seeing the rest of the story as he originally intended it!

Romaniablack

Which is SO SAD -- I was told when I started the series by a fellow Patron that it was cut down from 24 to 12, and I hate that for the creator. It sucks that it happened later in the production, like you noted. :( Hopefully, someday, they'll be able to complete it!

I have respect for the creater for keep trying to find another studio and just not giving up on finishing this project that he clearly loves. Mitsue cheering so openly was wonderful. I loved how the music changed when we got to see the match from the twins perspective. Of course they crushed Touma's happiness two minutes later. And also with something so big. We can't have happy things here. I'm still not sure what to feel about this cliffhanger. There are so many different scenarios about how it could end. And I don't like any of them. We also don't know what exactly happend to the mother so we don't even know if Maki just snapped because it just was too much or if the father did something REALLY bad to the Mother. And I agree, I think if Maki wasn't smiling it would be more in character. I feel like I could talk about the ending for hours because I have so many theories in my head. Some translations for the fan movie: It was a 2 years timeskip Maki says "just drop it. He.. doesn't want to see me anymore." And Touma's line "It's pointless. He has no game sense. Why does he make the same mistakes? There's no point in continuing like this. Whatever. I'll find someone else." I don't like that it looks like that Nao became a delinquent and I just don't like that most of them are split apart. I just want to know what happend even more. I also find it so interesting that Maki and Arashi are going to the same highschool, that would have been so amazing to see. I also think Touma and the twins are at the same school. There are just so many more questions because of the movie. Wish you a wonderful day!!

as much as a huge shock this ending was when i first watched it, i have to say i respect the director for being unfaltering with his vision and refusing to compromise the story he wanted to tell and for a project he has a lot of love for just to make a rushed ending bc production screwed him over. here's a thread from the director this year where he details their current situation if you're curious https://twitter.com/Akane2514af/status/1384206099344027651 ^_^ it's sad how even to this year, the director is still struggling to find a studio to fund this show even though he wants to complete the story :( i really hope we get something in the future

Oh the end of Stars Align… for now. I follow the writer/director on Twitter in hopes that one day he’ll share good news. It doesn’t seem like he’s given up and he wants to continue the story so fingers crossed a 2nd season gets greenlit soon

Show had massive production issues. Was intended to be 24 eps but they cut it in half very late in production.

I'm not familiar with Isekai anime (my brother likes some, but not sure which ones), but it is REALLY sad that this couldn't get the full adaptation for just one season, even. There is so much I love about it, and it just feels "wrong" that it couldn't get the closure it deserves. I hope one day it at least gets fully created.

Romaniablack

A million Isekai anime get full adaptations every year and this show couldn't, so sad.
