Moriarty the Patriot: Episode 2 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

LINK TO REACTION: https://streamable.com/owrgcd

We get into the backstory of Moriarty, Louis, and Albert -- which is NOT what I expected! Talks of classism, human decency (or lack thereof -- looking at you, William!), and the origins of our "Crime Consultant"...showing that oh, this series is probably going to be dark, isn't it?

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Moriarty the Patriot: Episode 2 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

The OP and ED are GREAT in this series! I can't wait to see the second cour! :) And yeah, the way eyes look in this series -- it's so intense, the emotion! I have actually met families with a "helping to foster kids to look good" mentality (fostering instead of adopting orphans) in my community in real life, which is sickening, especially given that it still occurs in the present time, much less in the past. And yeah, Albert's brother, William, was just ridiculous -- my sympathy really waned as soon as I saw he'd had the maid hurt with the fork. And hahaha, I can see it with Louis -- all three of these men are fangirl-worthy! :) Thank you for the kind words and have a great day, too!

I've really missed this opening and ending. It's so good. The expressions in this show are amazing, you can really feel the emotions they want us to feel. The saving orphans just to look good part made me uncomfortable. At first I was like 'ah okay William is this typical bad noble kid.' But when we saw that he stabbed the woman with the fork I thought 'oh, you're even worse than I thought.' XD I have seen so many people all over Albert in the ED while I'm here fangirling over Louis. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Yeah, everytime I re-watch or hear the OP, it's still so good! And yessss, "The Final Problem" with the waterfall, right?! I love it! Your comments about Simon and adopting orphans (nobility doing so), I totally agree with! Ahhh, I'm sooo ready for next week! Thanks for that comment and insight on Simon!

Ahh, that's good to know about the preview -- YES! It's hard to not binge when the episodes flow as well as they do! And the OP and ED are SO good -- oooooh, **OP HYPE INTENSIFIES** and OMG -- noooo, Albert! Wow, so yeah, Moriarty is LITERALLY his salvation, among that for others. That is great symbolism there; thank you for that info!

I'm really excited to meet the other characters as well! The imagery, symbolism, and color throughout is really well done, especially throughout this episode! And yeahhh, that's a great note about Albert viewing William like God, punishing those who have done wrong...ahhh, that's a great observation! And seriously, now I have Hak AND Albert added to my husbando list? It's a lot to take in. Haha!! Thanks for not spoiling me and for the kind words and comment! I'm excited for next week!

That makes a lot of sense, right! And yeahhhhh, it's like, "Oh, they're such cute kids!" And then, BOOM, "sexy waterfall photoshoot with adults," hahaha!

I am glad you liked this episode as well. The opening and ending for this season are so good no matter how many times I see them. It is also really interesting how the painting William stands in front of in the ending is a...waterfall (considering the canon by Doyle). I was also uncomfortable with how saving an orphan became 'trendy' but it is also in parts a duty the nobility has (noblesse oblige). I am also very happy to see that you love Albert so much!! The servant Simon probably has that attitude because he is also influenced by the hierarchichal structure of this society. As the head butler he would usually stand socially above orphan children, so he resents having ti treat them with the same respect as his employers. Can't wait for the next reaction :)

After re-watching this with you, the ED make a bit more sense - Albert, William and Louis "painting" (creating) a brighter more beautiful world as they envision it. And yes that JUST had to give us all three wet in sexy poses at the end.

Okay, so I know you've watched at least the next episode, but I won't tell you the stuff that wasn't adapted in this arc until next week (though it is very interesting how much darker it was in the manga) This show was so hard not to binge. I remember when I first watched it I had to force myself to stop watching around episode seven at 3am. I blame it mostly on how many episodes are two parters. Also, most of the time, with two part episodes, there isn't a preview between parts one and two. The OPs and EDs of this show go harder than they need to. I have them all on playlists, and if you think this OP is good, wait for the next one. One important piece of symbolism I think I should point out here is both scenes in which Moriarty openly speaks about his opinions of nobility take place in the chapel, and we know because of later information (not animated) that Albert was actually considering taking his own life before he met Moriarty because of how much he tried to help people of lower stations than him, and he kept feeling like he was failing. Moriarty is basically his salvation - and a lot of other characters as well. Sorry for the ramble

Glad you're liking it so far, it only gets better and better, and can't wait for you to meet the other characters. The imagery in this show is so good, the contrast between good and evil and the shot of the devils and church finishing in showing William like God, it really reminds me the vision we have of God, the ideal entity who is perfect in everyone's eyes but who punishes the bad people. And the look in Albert's eyes is like William really became the god of his beliefs. Haha nobody can't resist ending Albert, like whyyyy they HAD to make another husbando material RIGHT THERE 😂 As usual, your theories are very interesting (but won't confirm nor deny anything 😋) Can't wait for your next reactions
