Attack on Titan Season 2: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

LINK TO REACTION: https://streamable.com/4ukotg
**HEADPHONE. WARNING. Y'all know the drill!**

This episode is so darn EPIC. A tangled web of relationships between these characters we've come to know the last two seasons -- OTP ships set sail, characters deliver insane moments of emotion and raw vulnerability, Leaders are tested and MADE in this episode...oh, and the climax is still in store for us, it seems...

This may be the longest I've talked about ANY episode of ANYTHING I've watched so far on this channel...but I have a feeling it won't be the longest ever. Still, this episode was AMAZING. There's SO MUCH to talk about! I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Attack on Titan Season 2: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Ahhhhh, interesting -- I thought they'd assume she had been captured since she didn't return with the group/others. I figured at the Wall in Episode 6, they'd asked where she was and found out, and it just happened off screen, since they never ask about her and Bertholdt tells Reiner they'll "go back and get her."

Romaniablack

1:13:50 They didn't even know that they captured Annie. They were "quarantined" when it happened and no one told them because they wanted to capture them.

I'm so far into the rabbit hole at this point, I'm amazed I remember episodes, too, haha! And YES, Historia x Ymir are an OTP for sure. The dark humor of this series -- it NEEDS it -- any humor works at this point, haha! And YES! Our king Jean, keeping cool and saving Mikasa! I love it! The Bertholdt scene just tugged at my heart, exactly for the reasons you said -- and yeah, they're still teenagers who started this whole conflict as CHILDREN, so there is some empathy there... AND YES! Armin "formed into a leader by his enemies" -- Oooooh, I love that phrasing. ^^ And Erwin...ugh, Erwin is a different breed of human, indeed. Thank you for the kind words and I hope you have a wonderful day, too!

I'm so amazed how you now what happend in which episode. I could never. XD Ymir and Historia are canon, no one can convince me otherwise. I feel like this season they gave us a lot more of the dark humor. Ymir's save me got me. I have so much respect for Jean being able to stay calm. That shows how strong he truly is. The Berthold scene was what we needed for him. Him almost crying and technically asking for help, how he can't do this anymore. His character really needed a scene like that. It's not possible to fully sympathise with Reiner and Berthold but I like that you can at least a little. They're kids and it looks like they got somehow "pushed" into this situation without being able to understand the consequences of the things they will do. I automaticly feel bad for them just with this. Armin getting formed into a leader by their enemies, this is something. He found his own way of fighting. Erwin coming off with this plan so quickly was amazing. And all these badass moments? Erwin not only will sacrifice other people, he is ready to sacrifice himself at any moment. He's built different. Wish you a wonderful day!!

YES! I loved this episode so much because of everything it set up for the finale -- the walking-dead style raid, Reiner and Bertholdt, the chase, the chaos and conversations, and then that damn titan that ate Carla at the end! So many layers...it's just SUCH a good episode! :)

Romaniablack

I mean, there's been a lot of deaths, just not "named" characters so much, haha! Of course...there's no telling how the next seasons will go with all of that! @_@ And thank you -- the art in these episode has been SO GOOD! And yesssss, Armin's "chilling" look is just as scary as Mikasa and Eren's! @_@ VERY interesting development with Armin this season! Thanks so much for the kind words and cheers to the finale!

Romaniablack

You were saying how there had been surprisingly few deaths this season. Of course just saving all the madness for last right 😵‍💫. Don’t know how many of them had names though. Watching your reaction made me realize how amazing the art is in this episode, especially the facial expressions. Mikasa looking terrifying as always. But seeing Armin get that same look was chilling. His was crazier though. Kind of like a cross between Mikasa when she’s super intimidating and determined and Erin when he’s in “Slaughter Titans” psycho mode. Such interesting character development for him this season. Looking forward to the finale!

Julie

I just love the setup of the battlefield in this finale that gets progressively crazier: you have Reiner being chase by the survey corps who are getting chased by titans, then an emotional conversation and aerial battle on ODM gear ON Reiner between the 104th, Mikasa, Ymir, Historia, and Reiner himself, then what is effectively a massive zombie swarm like they’re in TWD but the size of buildings grappling and trying to chomp their way into Reiner, survey corps charging into that hell and getting stomped and chomped, our main cast both fighting their way into and out of that chaos, Reiner chucking titans left and right, then in the midst of that the titan that ate Eren’s mom is there. There are so many layers of escalation just in the battlefield itself, it’s probably one of my favorite setups in any show.

Pada Lee

RIGHT?! Oh my gosh...that almost took me out of the episode -- HOW DID YOU MISS IT SNEAKING UP?! And the horse was all, "Well, at least I'm safe." XD

Romaniablack

I always laugh at that dumbass MP who gets eaten by the Titan, I mean, if you're so stupid you can't even hear a giant Titan creep up literally next to you .... yeah .... you deserve that one. Than I laugh even harder at his horse's derpy "lol, wat?" face!

Nathan Hardy

Is it crazy that Bertholdt and Annie are becoming my favorite ship in the series?! There's just something about them, along with Ymir x Historia and Jean x Marco....I can't wait to talk about it in the recap! :) And yeah, THAT is the question: what is more important than love? The "BUT WHY" question comes up again, and I'm curious to get more into that in season 3 perhaps...we shall see.

Romaniablack

Ahhhh, I forget this show does treat its injuries seriously, unless you're Erwin and you have a CORE OF STEEL (seriously hahaha), so yeah, her being injured is not good. @_@ But yeah, Armin showed in this episode just HOW dangerous a sharp tongue and a quick mind can be...that manipulation he does with Bertholdt and Reiner to buy time was INSANE!

Romaniablack

I hadn't thought about that, but YEAH! Had Marcel been aiding them as well...who knows what they would have done? It's crazy to think it was a small squad sent to go and infiltrate the walls...interesting...

Romaniablack

The Titan gripping Mikasa would have injured her ribs. She winced as she was being squeezed, so I doubt her midsection is feeling great. You said it before, but it still stands. Annie's biggest mistake was not killing Armin. The brains of the Shiganshina Trio is overall one the most dangerous characters, his plans, and the execution of his plans, as well how fast he can come up with them and put them in to action. He's a terror. I think he learnt some of it from Hange, with the crazy eyes. He's also the last of the 104th to not have a kill under his belt at this time, if memory serves.

Moth (GreenAppleSause)

When I watched this episode, and how it was clear how much Bertolt cares for Annie, all I could think was about: what was so important about the mission for them. more important than love. D: I still remember how I went to bed unable to sleep trying to think of different situations where the mission would be more important than love. (I deny seeing any nightmares about this subject) Also, Bertolt x Annie is probably my fav ship in this series, I don't know why. maybe because they're "both murderers with short lives" (as Reiner said) because other ships, such as Historia and Ymir as a ship is just somehow so pure and idk.

The truck

Now that we know marcel must have been a titan shifter, isn’t it terrifying to think that there would have been one more warrior to help with the mission? Ymir stealing his power really did throw a wrench in their plans, and she does it again trying to take Historia.
