Mo Dao Zu Shi Season 3: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

The climax of the series and MAN, there's a LOT that goes down! Reveals, Betrayals, Demonic Tornados, Zombies, and WangXian proving it is a straight-up POWER COUPLE!

I do want to give hugs to Ning, Cheng, and XiChen in this episode so badly, though! They really go through the wringer this episode...

We have one more episode of the donghua left, and I have NO CLUE what to expect! That's really exciting, though!

Thanks for watching with me and for all the support!

Mo Dao Zu Shi Season 3: Episode 11 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

Comments

Ahhh, that is really sad! I'm excited to catch up to the other adaptations, though it may mean I don't get to finish the manhua and have to read it on my own time. Thank you for the comment! :D :D

I am sad because I’ve already seen the other adaptations. Right now there is only the manhua which is ongoing left and I will likely bawl my eyes out there too.

It's almost sad how quickly the civilians turn on both WuXian and Yao -- as if nothing has TRULY changed, only WuXian got off the hook for now. No wonder he and Wangji (spoilers for next episode) take off on their own! T-T

Romaniablack

Speaking of the tides get turned so quickly, not only because Wuxian risked his life to save the people in the Burial Mound cave, but also because they succeeded in finding another culprit, Yao, to blame for everything. People are now just too eager to say the worst about Yao regardless the truth. It's so ironic that they just never learnt a lesson...

I've always seen Wangji cutting off limbs being like "You dared to stretch your hand towards my man, now you have no hand" XD That Jiang Cheng had Chenqing with him... gets me every time. Even if it's all different for them in donghua, again. Welp, that discussion of his scenes done differently in different adaptations is long way ahead I guess! Also those iconic words "I killed everyone in my life but not once has I thought of harming you!" You still did honey. You knew your actions would hurt him. All of them. The one person I can't ever blame in this story is definitely Huaisang. We never know much of his emotions, we don't see if his choices and actions brought him joy or misery, not after Mingjue's death. And if we don't know them, he's just a perfect avenging hero from every vengeance story, being in his own right. (Saying that, I hope you will consider delving deeper into Chinese TV series at one point and take up Nirvana in Fire, that is one perfect story of vengeance and grief). Now imagine Xichen has to go through all the bad rumors of his boyfriend just like Wangji had to, for 13 years. XIchen thinking probably WWX was the source of great suffering for Wangji and it's for the best that he's gone... and now realizing he was the one in the wrong with his choices and trust given to a wrong person. Which means he, the perfect First Jade of Gusu, has been seeing the world and people wrongly for the entirety of his life. Now that's gonna shift his sect teachings, hopefully.

Oooohhhh okay! That makes more sense! Thank you for clarifying that!

AND YES....that breaks my heart that at the end of it all, Yao realizes just how much XiChen cares for him and, realizing SOMEONE finally reciprocates love to him, can't kill him...one final decent act...and he's sealed away with Mingjue. Insanity!

Romaniablack

YES, I had no idea that was how HuaiSang would have it accomplished (don't spoil me if the novel does it different; I'll get to it), but it really was a harsh blow against XiChen, who genuinely cared for him. :(

Romaniablack

Oh WOW, I hadn't caught that...that's so sad. :( Poor Cheng.

Romaniablack

Hahahahaha, I hope your English instructor doesn't get mad with me! ^^ But yeah, I feel for XiChen... a LOT. And I agree; XiChen was willing to die for him and Yao, bless him, realized in that moment it seems that SOMEONE offered him unconditional love and decided to save him. YUP, heartbreaking... T-T

Romaniablack

I think Si Si was the one who was killed by attackers on the way from Tan City to the Burial Mounds - it's her spirit in the bag when Wangji calls up the memory (with his water ouiji trick) of Daddy Jin's death.

I am SO excited for the audio drama and novel, now! I could tell that some plot elements were rushed towards the end of this season, but the animation was still GORGEOUS throughout. I agree, I'm glad they had the earlier season as long as it was -- it was NEEDED. To be honest, this may be my favorite season because of everything coming together...and us getting rewarded with WangXian.

Romaniablack

OOOH YEAH, oh wow, that totally is a cut sleeve reference for XiChen...surprising no one. ;) Nice catch, there! And uggggh....the rain and him crying? CANNOT. T__T HuaiSang...that dastardly mastermind. Who knew, eh? It's crazy to think that he and Yao orchestrated so much in this...

Romaniablack

Yao was about to take Xichen down with him until Xichen gave up and was willing to die. Yao realizing that even after all this, Xichen is still going to stay with him even into death...OMG, the feels when he shoves Xichen away. Yao and Mingue, locked together in that coffin - what a resolution.

Serralinda

Huiaseng engineering everything, including tricking Xichen into killing Yao when it seemed he was going to be too soft on him...Ugh. That was nasty against Xichen, really. Poor Xichen - he's broken now.

Serralinda

Cheng there at the end, the gossip about Wuxian being the powerhouse Cheng should have kept in the clan... He cannot escape Wuxian's reputation, whether it's good or bad.

Serralinda

Have I seen the episode? No. Do I know what happens because I was skimming through it in a daze at 3 am...maybe...Needless to say in literally any adaptation the part with Xichen and Yao hurts a little more every time. You always upload during my ENG 101 class I think it’s a sign or something… WWX: “Mingjue doesn’t even know who he is right now” Mingjue: *no thoughts head empty* “That twink over there killed me!” Anywho finished your reaction and I think Xichen looking at Yao that way was basically a “Yeah he’s a terrible person and not who I thought. But if we both die together it’s alright?” So yeah I think that bit was him accepting his death and Yao saw that and was like “oof I do love this man and he would die with me? Not the move.” Heart? Broke. :(

XiChen rips sleeve = Cut sleeve reference? XiChen, "It's a terrible day for Rain." Who would ever have guessed that the quiet, fumbling, nervous, guys was the Mastermind behind all the present day mysteries.

WuXian Suibian

I'm really looking forward to the audio drama and novel, I've enjoyed this season but I do have to say I feel like these last couple episodes were where it was really starting to show how much was cut out to save time. I'm not too upset at it, because it just makes me excited to discover new content via the novel but it's definitely more noticeable for me this season than in the first two. Having those extra few episodes in season 1 really helped with the pacing and cohesiveness of the story and gave us a little breathing room to digest events, whereas this season has been exposition! Action! More exposition! Action! Wangxian! Action! 😂 One thing after another constantly. But the Wangxian moments are gold so...it balances the scales lmao.
