Welp, the idea was "to lose, not to win," but here we are...we've known Cheng has a tendency to empathize with the people he embodies to a nth degree, but his competitiveness (especially with basketball) causes the stakes to get raised rather quickly in this episode.
The animation was SO good this episode! And now...we've seen the repercussions of altering the future...so...what's going to happen now?! @_@ I did NOT expect this becoming a two-parter!

Yessss, the visuals and music in this show are so well done! And yeah, after "Emma," this series has me eight kinds of worried as to how the altering the future in the slightest can have a big impact...but we shall see, eh? There's still so many questions, but yes, the man wanting to change how they thought of him...hmmmm...I guess we'll have to see this coming week, eh? ^^

I mean, some time travel concepts say that timeline tends to fix itself. That was one of my thoughts for the 1st episode ending also. And yes, that guy really did want to change the past, even if with just few words, it was the impression of him in those past people's minds...

That's a really good question -- Cheng is already an empathetic person who seems to care a LOT outwardly about people, but the very concept of being inside another person's body and having their emotions/memories on top of your own? I can see how that would drive a person's emotional state into overdrive -- that's a neat theory! And yessss, their first meeting was basketball! I love it! :) And ahhh, the ED didn't quite fit the ending of last episode for me, but here? It's perfection. Thank you for the kind words and have a great day, too!

2021-12-02 14:22:45 +0000 UTCThis was the episode where I couldn't stop watching the show. This cliffhanger got me. It's amazing how many things this episode foreshadowed. Can't say anything but you will get there. XD I wonder if the person that gets in the different people's bodys is always emotional. What if it isn't necessarily a character thing from Cheng Xiaoshi but has something to do with the power itself? I think it really is just him, but I find the thought about it not being entirely Xiaoshi interesting too. But that is just a little theorie of mine that is surely wrong. XD I find it sweet that both Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang thought about their first meeting because of basketball. I love how perfect the ending song fits with the cliffhanger in this series. It makes me so nervous everytime. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Heh, the client does seem creepy at first but if you think about it...it's like, of course he's suspicious of them being con artists or scammers :) Ehh...spoilers on this arc are gonna kill me - I want to say stuff but I can't! Waiting for the next episode is going to be hard.

2021-12-01 03:28:15 +0000 UTCCheng is full on cute and cheesy and it's so in character, I'm 100% fine with it! I loved that the basketball game brought them back to first meeting each other! And YES -- that ED; I thought last episode ended sweetly, but the ED creeps in and it's instantly scary again, hahaha! "how will they share the noodles?" I was thinking as the ED comes in: *gay panic intensifies* ^^ Ahhh...I'm definitely feeling like I'll be more scared as the series goes on with that ED, though.

The stuff Cheng said was kind of cheesy, but I don’t care cuz it was so cute. 🤗 But then you get the cliffhanger. The tone of this ED and the way it bleeds into the end of the episodes pretty much requires them to end on a note of suspense. Even last episode with a perfectly happy ending, they added the “oh no, how will they share the noodles!?!” moment. But going forward the suspense is real. I wonder if next season will have a similar dynamic. MAL just added artwork for it, so hopefully it’s coming sooner rather than later.

You have no idea. Interesting comments about their powers. It's not only Lu having special power, and it is Cheng who has the power to enter photos. I won't say too much since you'll get there. I can't wait for next week. I just can't.

2021-11-30 18:33:44 +0000 UTCThe animation in this episode was top tier, better than some other sports anime out there. Yeah, unlike the other "stories" this is a multi-episode arc and it'll all fit together in the end. Lu Guang knows everything and in Lu Guang we trust.

If you think this is a cliffhanger just wait for next week, and the week after that, and so on hahaha this donghua is so addictive, it hurts to wait (so I couldn't and watched the whole thing in one run). And the animation this episode is insane, the blue animation reminded me of "the zone". Your reaction to the realization that the last guy is in the 3-point area is pure gold haha. Interesting analysis as always, can't wait for your next reactions :)
