**Headphone Warning**

Season 3 Part 2 kicks off with a BANG...well...A LOT OF BANGS, eh?

Holy cow -- this episode is quite deceptive on the surface. It may seem like just set up for the battle to come this part, but there is a loooooot going on and I'm happy for the Armin and Eren focus this episode...but man...The Beast Titan is NOT a dumb beast...and he's been working on that throwing arm, hasn't he? #RIPMiche #toosoon?

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

It's a fact, I'll never get over Marco's death. The end. Yesss, the anxiety this episode induced was PALPABLE! And hahahahaa, no, you're right. Friendship with chairs? Ended. New relationship with Lanterns begins. And oh wow, I hadn't thought of that, but you're right -- Armin is getting the chance to lead, just like Ian...let's just hope he doesn't meet the same fate, eh? @_@ Thanks for the kind words and have a wonderful day, too!

Marco in the ending? I will never get over him. The tension in this episode was amazing. It made me so nervous. 'Friendship ended with chairs now lantern my best friend'. - Romania, probably. XD Erwin giving Armin the ability to give orders reminds me of Pixis giving Ian the commando. Wish you a wonderful day!!

YES! I love that idea of Armin reinforcing that the Freedom they seek can happen through non-violent means...that's a great point! Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! This was a great kickoff to the second part of season 3.

Also, aaaah ep 13 hype. Eren, Armin, and Mikasa's convo in the woods near their home is genuinely one of my favorite within the series. I love Armin's character, and him refocusing Eren on the genuine, good, and non violent part of their dream is truly so important. In this moment of Eren loosing his motivation and conviction, him finding it again in the joy of exploration in freedom, instead of re anchoring it in revenge and violence is truly so important to his character, and it really made me feel like Eren is finally going down a path of healing for once. And who else would help him down this path than his childhood best friend? I love the character writing in this show, just *chef's kiss*. I look forward to your continued reactions to this series, and am genuinely happy that you're going down this journey, it's a pretty great one.

Hi! I just re-education myself on the timeline for this lovely season b, though a rewatch with excessive crying [whether it was from joy, pain, or surprise is for me to know and you to find out <3]. The reason why was because I could remember that 2 episodes need to be watched together, and I've never had a head for numbers. Episodes 17 and 18 have to be viewed side by side in recording. Some would add ep 16 to this grouping, but I honestly disagree. Attack on Titan has been training you to deal with cliffhangers from season 1. With ep 16's ending hurt? Yes, but you've trained for this, you'll be fine. You can not separate episodes 17 and 18 in recording. If you have to skip an upload, shift the aot schedule, or anything really with patreon episodes, that's fine. Whatever you have to do to find a free time block long enough to watch those two episodes will be worth it, and the fans will agree. You owe it yourself as a fan of this show to make sure that you can view 17 and 18 at the same time. This is even more important, I'd say, than splitting up the season 3 recap into two parts. This is truly paramount to your viewing of the series.

4 months? I’m pretty sure it’s more than 4 years since the day they left Shigansina. Also I love the face you make everytime you start playing the episode.

Chills Chills Chills omg. Everytime I see that scene of Eren flying over the wall to bite his hand remembering the speech his mom said "We're Free" it's just so epic. Why do the scouts have to be so epic!πŸ˜‚πŸ™ŒπŸ½Even the scene with Reiner revealing himself with that determination just amazing. Levi really said that's enough Reiner I'm coming in! Screaming!πŸ˜‚Armin getting the chance to lead them all EPIC! Thank you Erwin for acknowledging him. Respect! Mikasa giving her cloak to Eren reminding him of his power & assuring him that she's got his back! Then the Beast Titan wanna shut everything down with that revealπŸ’€Love the comment & discussion you & the user (I can't remember where I saw there name in the video sorry) such a good discussion. I love thought provoking statements such as the one you guys were talking about with Kenny & Uri. AOT loves to have us thinking nonstop about everyone & the choices they make & the meanings to everything. It's why this story has stuck with me all year & next month will continue it which I am not ready for. Your almost there too but until then see ya next episode!πŸ™ŒπŸ½Have a great day or night lol

I wasn’t quite sold on chairs, but you’ve got me watching for lantern symbolism now. First thing that happens after the into is someone drops a lantern… πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I watched the OP for the first time in a long time and I was amazed and appalled by how far they took the spoilers. One of the biggest questions you’d have going into this arc gets spoiled if you catch a glimpse of a certain moment! I’m so grateful to the people who warned you about skipping it. Wtf AOT? 😠 You’ve reached the point where shit goes down. You’ve probably seen a good bit of it already. Strap in and good luck! Also, you’re dog is very cute πŸ₯°

Re: the "if only Wall Maria was retaken", that might be a translation error. The manga has present tense "Now, if Wall Maria is taken back...", so it's an indicative conditional, not a counterfactual/subjunctive conditional. My Japanese is nowhere near good enough to get such fine distinctions, but it's not uncommon for AoT translations to have a few slip-ups, unfortunately, and a few other things in these subtitles make me a bit suspicious.

I think one of main reasons Annie and Reiner could not eat Eren earlier was that they didn't know he was the coordinate. It is also rational for them to expect the coordinate to not be in the hands of someone who didn't even know they were a titan shifter. Then if there is the case of are there only a limited number of Titan shifters. If that is the case you would like to avoid having one individual with the power of multiple titan shifters. One they might be too powerful and second it reduces the number of titan shifters you can have. But if there are many titan shifters why didn't more of them come with Reiner and co. attack humanity together.

PS

This whole "nothing will be the same" feeling...I don't know what to think, but I'm glad y'all haven't spoiled me. I'll buckle in for the ride for now (and we'll see if I try to jump off the tracks later, haha)!

Romaniablack

Oooh! Thank you so much for letting me know! **hype intensifies**

Romaniablack

Here we go- the beginning of the Return to Shiganshina arc and nothing will be the same after it - will leave it at that for now πŸ˜€ of course the epic track at the end is very much appropriate for the next few eps of epicness.

Episode 19 has a very important post-credits scene. Make sure you watch it.

We're playing with the big boys now~ I kind of want to elaborate on Eren and Armin both being a slave to freedom, because while they are both slaves to freedom, they are slaves to freedom in different ways. Armin is a slave to freedom from the walls, but Eren is a slave to freeing himself from whatever has put them in the walls. If Armin saw a way to gain that freedom without fighting anyone or anything, he would, he just wants to see the world. Eren wants to make sure no one can put him back in the walls once he gets out. Once again, as I've said before, Reiner's biggest mistake was saving Armin back in season one, and I've been thinking about why. Because why would they not let him die, when they had no problem letting Marco die earlier? Part of me thinks that because of his resembalance to Historia, they thought he might have been another person with royal blood that could inherit the Coordinate. Royal Armin was actually a theory back before the manga ended due to Armin's resemblence to both Historia and Uri, so it is possible that it was also a thought in universe held by the three shifters sent into the walls, and that's why they didn't kill Armin back when they had a chance. But that's just me going theory crazy. I said once before that Armin and Erwin are similar, and part of me thinks that in this episode, Erwin sees himself in Armin, at least more clearly than he did before. It isn't until after Armin gets flustered and frustrated trying to explain his hunch (gamble) to the soldiers that are under him that Erwin tells them all to obey the chain of command, which is basically saying "do what Arlert says". I still remember the stress of waiting for the chapter updates of this second half of the season back when it was only the manga, so take that how you will for how these episodes will go. I will say I screamed and cried while reading some updates. I will not say if they were of pain or joy. Sorry if some of this didn't make sense, it's nearly 3am, I'm going to bed.
