YOU WANT AN INCREDIBLY OMINOUS ERWIN SOLILOQUY?!
This episode was one of my favorite "action-centered" episodes in the series so far because it's becoming a battle of brains and brawn alike and who has the better "ace up their sleeve," and at this point...I'm not sure which side does! All I do know is...Thunder Spears, HOOOOO!!!!

SERIOUSLY, the imagery of Erwin on top of the corpses and them all staring at him -- as if they're blaming Erwin and he KNOWS it's "his fault" they're dead. CHILLS. Just as many chills as when Reiner and Erwin have that stand off...seriously, Erwin has both the biggest gall in the entire Survey Corps, and the biggest death wish. T_T I am really liking this strategy vs strategy, too, but it makes. me. nervous. And poor Jean, being the leader in this moment despite his own personal feelings? T-T Our King! Ugh.....Reiner saying "Wait," and showing he wants to live...Isayama is really piling on the pain with this battle, isn't he? Thanks for the kind words and have a great day, too!

Erwin and Reiner just standing there on the wall looking at eachother. Chills. The imagery with Erwin on all the corpses. And all of them staring at him. It's so sad to see that our chaos trio still doesn't want to kill Reiner. At least Jean knows and told them that they can't hesitate. Reiner saying wait made my heart ache. That really hurt. Erwin and the Beast Titan are just hedging bets and I don't like that literally EVERYONE'S LIVES are being gambled in this...Erwin's monologue was so foreboding...not good vibes AT ALL. I love your line about this being a casino instead of a battlefield, though. Seriously... And yes, Armin is such a strategist and Connie/Sasha have such trauma from all this...ugh....more on that next episode (which is as far as I've gotten so far), but man. Where are the therapists in this world, again? :P

2021-12-09 19:13:00 +0000 UTCSomeone, somewhere, at some point, probably: THIS IS A BATTLE FIELD, NOT A GOD DAMNED CASINO! LESS GAMBLING! Armin is smart, he has plans, and ignoring him doesn't make him go away, Reiner. What's probably making this harder on Sasha and Connie (and the others, but mostly them), is that Bertoldt said it wasn't all a lie, and they can't figure out which parts were the lies, and which were the truths. Connie is probably struggling with that the most becuase Reiner saved him, and during the Battle of Trost, when he messed up on killing the titan in the warehouse, Annie was the one that saved him then. But hey, they'll have time to unpack all their trauma later. Probably.

About Platypus Packmule Titan, I think you can press the "I believe Erwin" button on this one, and presume that is a Titan shifter, another Warrior...

2021-12-08 01:21:55 +0000 UTCI was dying when you said Eren's Face was like "Don't remind me please" when Armin brought up Bertholdt crushing him in the last battle😂Now that's all I'm gonna think of when I see that scene of Eren's face😂😂😂& omg yes!! That scene of Levi from No Regrets (At the time when I didn't watch the OVA's yet) I was like WHAT IS THAT?! DID I MISS AN EPISODE?! I was honestly scared I missed something but now I understand lol I love that they added that in to tie into Erwin's influence on them all. I don't mind your Erwin Thumbnails😂He's amazing & those cinematic shots deserve to be seen🙌🏽

2021-12-08 00:28:43 +0000 UTCYou can blame Isayama for a lot in this story, but i don't think he makes the decision whether to start an episode directly with the opening. :) That pained determination on Jean's face... S3P1's events really left their mark 20:16 Hello S1E03 Connie lol The whole transfering of consciousness is generally not particularly well received in the fandom, and I think Isayama isn't to happy with it either. Everyone sort of ignores that it happened, and the story works out well either way. Here's one way of thinking about the hardening: Reiner knows a lot about hardening; he's the armor titan and it's what his armor is made of. He did not see Eren using it before, so it's a reasonable assumption that Eren couldn't do it. But they did see him use hardening now, when he used it to seal the outer wall. Eren using the founding titan is really perplexing and doesn't seem to make sense from what we know. But apparently Grischa couldn't use it, and Eren only managed to do so once. Anyway, Reiner saw him do it that one time, so he knows that it is at least in principle possible (and that seems to be a terrifying thought). Reiner, whose main goal is returning to his hometown, fighting against Eren, who is returning to his hometown. Clever bit of symmetry. Overall one of the weaker episodes of this part, but that shot of Erwin on his mountain of corpses is just amazing.
