I've missed Annie, let me tell you. It definitely FEELS like Season One when we last saw her, and this flashback to the start of the series to see her mission right before Episode 17 was welcomed -- especially because we got to see Marlo one more time and got some Hitch bonding...I'm going to ignore the Marco pain, though. #LETHIMRIP
I didn't know I needed Detective Annie in this series, but I kind of love it. Definitely one of my favorite OVA's, especially now that we know what we know about the "Warrior Crew."

RIGHT?! Isayama, let him rest, darn it! I have missed Annie in this -- and seeing Hitch trying to be a friend to her? UGH, it's hard. But yessss, I HAD to look Lou up after this because he had such a distinct voice!

Also seeing how Hitch wanted to befriend Annie was bittersweet. I recognized Lou's voice too but couldn't guess that it was Ishikawa.

And it was nice seeing Marlo and Hitch in this before the events of Part 2 -- back in the "simpler times," eh? T-T

Even tho she was a whole problem for our scouts😗💀 These OVA'S are always nice because they give us more of the characters & omg Marlo too!! Hitch looked so graceful lol sadly she had no idea what she was doing for Annie.

And yeah, I guess Annie just gives off that vibe of "competent," despite her age. Hmmm, true -- I'm trying to think who would be the least like her...maybe Armin?

Even his growth spurt into a Beefcake is a deus ex machina, a distinct trait of the Plot Armored Titan. It's not like Reiner had access to Weight Gain 4000 or Meat to bulk up on when he was in the 104th, given the food shortage inside the Walls.

I like how she is a deadpan comedian in these episodes. I think it's interesting that Carlys father reads Annie as trustworthy, perhaps not the right word but he could probably tell that she's very competent. Otherwise a rich old man probably wouldn't be satisfied with getting a single 17 year (i think) old MP, just one month on the job, looking for his daughter. Hmm, Annie and that bartender... they seem to similar, i probably want Annie with someone who's very different from her.

Memorizing some of the titles of episodes has really helped me organize and remember parts of the show -- it's like a study technique, hahaha, and I feel like watching AOT is like taking a graduate seminar class sometimes! :P To be fair, though, this is LITERALLY the only show I remember the titles of episodes, to. I feel it's also the one show I honestly need to pay attention and constantly reference back and forth so....thanks, Isayama! :P

Which ep was that again? Lmfao, I mean a quick googling tells it to me, but I barely remember in which episode something happened much less the episode name.
