Twittering Birds Never Fly: Chapter 46 Reaction & Review!

Yoneda-sensei, why must you make this chapter so teasingly short?! The ultimate miscommunication has occurred, as Doumeki believes Yashiro hasn't changed -- but he has -- and Yashiro is realizing that Doumeki isn't quite as "innocent" as he once was...and may be a monster of Yashiro's own making!

I'm so conflicted in this chapter but one things is for certain: Yoneda Kou is going to make us SUFFER before we get any happiness with these two, isn't she?!

Thanks for reading with me and for the support!

It really was too short! I'm already so hyped for the next one!! Yessss, I agree that Doumeki wants Yashiro to own up and admit that what they had in the past is the love he wants now -- of course, we all know how stubborn Yashiro is! I love how Doumeki was the one pining and yearning at the start of this series, and now the tables have turned and it's Yashiro's turn! I agree with your reasonings on Doumeki and why Yashiro pushed him away. There's just no way Doumeki is leaving him now...he's waited four years and worked his way up to be with him! Doumeki is basically the Chairman from Memoirs of a Geisha, hahahaha, working his way closer to Yashiro, but being able to stand on his own...ah, well, maybe he's more like Chiyo in that sense... :P Yes, Yoneda wants this to work for them, I'm sure, but we're going to have to suffer a while to get there, eh? It's worth it, though!

Wow, a new chapter! Too short!! I like this dynamic. I think Doumeki is playing the longcon and I think he's right to do this. Yashiro won't ever admit his feelings unless he's pushed and pulled and forced to *think*. Now, he's angry, he's disappointed, he got a royal tease here, he's jealous, he's confused, he's having sex dreams and fantasies...he'll have Doumeki on his mind non-stop. Doumeki was never a talker and Yashiro was a liar so it's going to take extreme measures to get them both past those issues. There's no way Doumeki doesn't remember their one spectacular night together, when Yashiro didn't need the pain and violence. But getting Yashiro to admit that he wants that again is going to take some doing. "This is what you want, right?" Yashiro won't get the soft side of Doumeki until he asks for it. I think Yashiro pushed Doumeki away originally for two main reasons - he's terrified of being in love AND he wanted Doumeki to go back to a "normal" life - a safe, warm, comfortable life. But Doumeki stayed in the yakuza - how frustrating! The mystery of Doumeki is going to drive him nuts until he figures it out and Doumeki is going to have to keep pushing all his buttons and knocking him off-balance. Yoneda is going to make them both work for it and we'll have to suffer along the way.
