I've never felt so conflicted after watching an episode...of anything, really.
I want to feel happy that the "Squad" is here, I want to revel in the Return of Our King, and fangirl that Levi kept his cape after all these years **tears up**...but y'all....children and civilians are dying...Gabi is traumatized...Falco and Reiner are MIA....and Eren seems...totally chill about it all. He has bigger hammers to break, clearly.
I have a feeling I'm going to need to re-watch episodes 4-6 and bring whiteboard-kun out BEFORE watching Episode 7...Isayama, you MADMAN.

I'll add that to the list! :) Zofia, sadly, had a MUCH better death than Udo's; Udo's is one of the more gruesome in this series so far. :( And THAT HEADCANON! MY HEART!!! T___T Welp...there's that. 2022-01-29 14:16:52 +0000 UTCThere are headcanons that the reason Levi still has the cape on is because the one he used to cover up Erwin after he died was his own and Levi took Erwin's. Jean is back and already being best boy. It's sad to think about that Zofia had one of the "better" deaths here. Before she knew what was coming she was probably already dead. It's horrifing to think about that being trampled is something that can happen so easily. I know a lot of people complained about the CGI but I like it. Mappa has actually really good CGI animation, one of my favourite anime by Mappa even is completely in CGI. I've started rewatching the anime Children of the whales and I noticed that it has some big similiarities with Attack on Titan. So I tought why not recommend it to you. Wish you a wonderful day!!

2022-01-29 11:15:07 +0000 UTCThe contrast of Eren from season one to now is CRAZY -- maybe even from Eren season 3 to now, but then...he's had FOUR more YEARS to hone himself, so that's likely a large part of it. And he has knowledge from his father's memories and FOCUS...so...that's terrifying to say the least. And yeah, Willy and Magath, going through with it all despite the knowledge of the sacrifices that would be made...hmmm...The War Hammer Titan's design and abilities are SO cool, though! Also, OF COURSE! Of course I would spot our King! The hair color also gives it away, because Jean has a very unique shade of strawberry=blonde-beige hair. And OH. How I was wrong about Floch. So very wrong! I'm sure you all were getting a good chuckle about my long-winded theory in the recap! *nervous chuckle* Ooh, I may have to check out the poster for the recap! Yesss, it's all reversed from Season 1, which is crazy! I was so happy to see our scouts again, but so conflicted because of the context of it all! 2022-01-26 21:05:54 +0000 UTCYuuuuuupppp, something has gone down with Eren and the Mikasa & Co. and that's probably what I'm most intrigued about at this point. The tension is SO thick in this episode and the subsequent one...Eren definitely seems to be acting on his own and forcing the Survey Corps to come and get him, which I'll talk about next episode. @_@ But, uhm, yeah, that #NOREGRETS quotation? HOLY SMOKES. I forgot about that. WELP. And that line of Pyxis's....I don't think that's what he was hoping for, Eren. @_@ Yeah, Floch gives me a fit of *nervous laughter* Indeed! Your suggestion that Floch gets hotter later this season disturbs me more than anything else so far, and I will be in stark denial of this for now. Thank you so much, though! I honestly was disappointed in my discussion in this episode, because I felt all over the place. I had to re-watch episodes 4-6 and do a mini-recap with Whiteboard-kun before starting Episode 7, but it definitely helped!

I'm personally NOT a Porco fan at all, and I will never cease my reign of verbal hellfire on Floch (for funsies of course), but straight up hating Gabi and Falco? At this point in Episode 6, I don't get it, but I'm not even halfway through, so we'll see if my attitude changes. :)

Yeah, I'll talk about this in a future reaction, but Eren's actions are not much different than that of the RAB trio...except Eren is fully aware of what he's doing and the consequences. And someone did on Discord when I said I'd watched Episode 7 -- but yessss, I hadn't thought of that...Eren created another version of himself...though, much like with Eren, Gabi had that within her all along -- it just needed a catalyst to spring her into action, much like Shiganshina did for Eren. @_@ Fun times.

I think the story Annie conjured up she seemed to be implying her mother was a prostitute Kenny banged. But after seeing the state Levi & Kuchell were in, I think Kenny made a promise not to sleep with prostitutes. So he knew Annie's story was BS and it also triggered him.

It makes his speech last episode so sad when he gets teary eyed saying I don't wanna die, I was born into this world. He knew he was going to die. Magath & Willy wow to know innocent people are gonna die & still manage to stick with the plan so the world can be on there side omg. They are the reason Zofia, Udo & many others are dead as well as Eren attacking. Btw Eren's combat has peaked lol I was like he could hold his own a bit in seasons 1-3 but to see him now body slamming all of those Marleyan Soldiers & the War Hammer Titan. Brutal. He's also more tactical with his approach to everything. He's just so focused compared to Season 1 Eren Screaming & Raging😂😂😂😂the contrast is so funny lol War Hammer Titan is insane especially being able to make weapons with the hardening ability. King Jean!! Yay omg I was screaming when you guessed that Jean was at the end of the first episode😂😂😂😂I was like omg she knows that's our King!😂 unlike me lol When I first watched it I could not for the life of me figure out who it was smh I know shame😅I honestly didn't know it was him until I watched reactions lol mind blown. Floch oh boy him saying we need a devil like Eren omg It was the complete opposite of your guess in the recap😂I was like she's gonna scream when she hears what Floch has to say this episode lol Floch on his need for a devil just like Erwin. Sir stop! Get help😂 Now or Never Mikasa omg I get chills EVERYTIME!! They really outdid themselves in this episode. The action, destruction & the reveal of our gang. The sound of the Odm gear was so satisfying aaaaahhhh!! As Pieck looks up in horror. Mikasa beautiful as always I love it but man her saying Eren come home & do you realize what you've done. Eren being so cold & focused on the mission. The memes on him looking away saying nothing omg them memes be like f*** dem kids😂😂😂😂😂It's not funny of course in the moment but that meme kills me everytime. Sasha & Conny my babies they've grown but they are here to start chaos. Levi comin in clutch we love to see it. I found myself being so hyped to see our scouts grown & here to fight but I was so conflicted as well. Seeing Zofia killed instantly & Udo I honestly turn my head everytime that scene comes on it's just too much for my heart to see a kid get trampled like that when he was just trying to help Zofia. Poor Colt holding Udo like that too & can't find Falco. Gabi witnessing the chaos around her. It's crazy to think that this is like Episode one but with our scouts. I never thought in a million years this is where the story would be in this moment. The promotion for this season was so good too because they have a shot of Eren as the Attack Titan coming out of the building with all the scouts in the background with there black odm gear & Eren with his green eyes full of rage while Reiner is at the bottom just like the Season 1 poster of Bertholdt as the colassal & Eren at the bottom with the fire. I just love that poster. We are the ones doing the same thing now. It's heartbreaking but it's war. Definitely check out the poster after Part 1. What an episode. The devils of Paradis. Also sorry this is long I keep trying to not make my comments so long but AOT does that to me sometimes lol I guess it's fine tho since this is Episode 6🔥😂😂😂😂Anyway have a great day/night. I’ve watched a lot of reactors to AOT and nothing stops me faster in continuing to watch them if they are genuinely excited and all ‘fuck you’ to Falco, Gabi, Reiner etc. I get it obviously but to me it’s clear they are missing a ton of what the story is actually trying to say.

It’s be hard to face my family.” Now in 4x6 Eren “You guys actually came” Mikasa “Eren, please … come home” It really paints the picture doesn’t it. Eren sends out letters that made it to his comrades, and yet when they arrive there’s this air of uneasiness. Sasha only shooting the guards/military and not a literal child, Jean trying to control his people into limiting the civilian casualties, and Mikasa looking absolutely devastated and soo disappointed in Eren. Now at this point we can tell Eren was acting independently from 104th it seems (though we still don’t know to what capacity and the hows and whys) This episode really made me think of 2 amazing season 1 quotes. 1. For Eren’s situation it makes me think of Levi’s words to Eren in the forest of the giant trees. “Choose. Believe in yourself. Or believe in the Survey Corps and me. I can believe in my own abilities or the choices of companions I trust. But no one ever know how it will turn out. So choose for yourself whichever decision you’ll regret least.” #NOREGRETS am I right???? 😬 2. For the Paradis vs the world situation Pixis’s line to Eren in 1x11 “if something beyond man appeared before us as a powerful foe, mankind will take up arms together in unity” It’s also interesting to note that Eren’s rebuttal to this is that idea seemed ‘optimistic’ Well… at least Floch believes he has his devil he always wanted right??? *nervous laughter* By the way the character models look quite off in this episode. You may have noticed an improvement later but this episode there is an inconsistency with them. For example Eren looked more sorrowful in the manga when he looked at Mikasa. Also FYI Mappa made Floch hot in later episodes and I don’t know how to feel about it 😄 Great discussion with this one! Your frame by frame style of content really helps with this season in particular!

I feel that people that watch this episode and just holler and cheer at all the ass the survey corps are kicking are missing a big part of the AoT experience. No, you should have the feeling of a pit in your stomach after this. If you are happy after an AoT epsiode you are doing it wrong 😉.

2022-01-25 16:46:27 +0000 UTCYou'll be surprised by how many people still hate Reiner and want Eren to slaughter everyone. Eren did the same thing as Reiner, Bertholdt and Annie, except he knew fully what he was doing. And weirdly enough we saw in Episode 5 that he fully understood the other side but still went with it. He could be doing this for revenge but I feel like he's not. Also, not sure if people mentioned this, but Gabi's character is based on a gender-bent version of Eren. And in this episode he ended up creating another Eren through his actions.
