March Comes in Like a Lion // 3-Gatsu no Lion: Episode 28 FULL LENGTH Reaction!

 *REAL WORLD HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

This storyline with Hina and Rei has taken my heart by storm, and it continues on, as Hina's life at school gets worse and Rei continues to find ways to help her -- but will the outlets to help support her only push her further from her peers?

My shipping goggles are on, my empathy levels are high, and these people are a lot more gracious than I would be around these "Mean Girls" of this middle school!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

This episode is such a track on the March Roller Coaster, isn’t it?! I love all the interactions with Rei trying to connect and help Hina - it’s adorable and is feeding my ship of them so much! But it also speaks so much to Rei’s growth at this point in the story! I’m glad things seemed to work out with Takahashi as well, but it’s so sad that the bullies’ jealousy was just placed even more on Hina. It’s something many of us can relate to and it just makes us want to advocate for Hina (like Rei) even more! And yes, I get the “whore” connotation; it just makes me furious, ESPECIALLY with the teacher! And the fact that SHE targeted Hina?! UGH indeed! I am so glad that Hina is defending herself and staying strong! I definitely agree that since Rei can relate to Hina’s bullying, he gets her anger. I really hope he can stay by her side to make her feel better! The two are so good for each other! I really hear you about binging - I’ve recorded ahead to stay on my schedule and give myself cushion if needed but honestly, it’s SO hard not to binge further than I have! I just love Rei’s growth and what we’re getting with Hina - but hey, we have to “move forward” at some point, right? Right? 😛Thank you so much for the comment and kind words!

Ah, this episode both gives me life and makes me so incredibly mad. So many feelings, that's for sure. Rei using Shogi to help connect with and distract Hina is so stinking adorable. I love what you said about Rei not wanting to even think about Shogi at the beginning and now he is using it for therapeutic sessions. And it's just simply having a moment to be together and be able to relax, concentrate on something else that makes it so important in all its simplicity. Look, the moment that Takahashi showed up I was *terrified* because I saw the reaction from the bullies from a mile away. Like, it's a very sweet thing to do, for sure, but it's also Rei sharing something that he didn't know for sure Hina wanted to be shared, and that made me wince a little; I'm glad that everything sort of worked out in the end because Hina appreciated it and all but... yeah, that made me be very tense for a little bit. The terrible thing about these bullies is that they are just bitter that Hina is sweeter and thus people, and specially boys, just naturally like her better. It was the same thing with poor Chiho, as they seemed to start targeting her once boys came into the picture. I really want to just tell them that if they were nicer, maybe boys would be interested in them. As for what they wrote on the board, it gave me the sense that the idea behind it was more along the lines of them calling Hina a *whore* and not just pointing out that she likes boys; which is objectively so much worse to say about someone. For now, that teacher really continues to push my buttons because SHE ISN'T DOING A DARN THING and she really should be doing something more than targeting Hina. It pissed me off so much that she called Hina to her office when NONE of this is her fault. UGH, it makes me so mad. But it made me so proud to see Hina defending herself because *she has done nothing wrong* and she should never be made to think otherwise. Rei recognizing Hina's anger is such a nice thing. Maybe it's because he has felt the same way before, or he just knows Hina that well at this point, but I hope that he does something to help her redirect that righteous anger into something more productive or less harmful than it could end up being. You know, I think I like Rei and Hina so much because Rei is a pessimist and Hina is an optimist and that just works so well XD As you said, they balance each other out. These episodes do not get easier to watch and at this point I really want to just binge this arc XD I'm glad that we're seeing the progress with Rei and how he is becoming a pillar for Hina but, dang I want this all to be over.
