BERSERK: Manga Volume 40 Reaction!

*PIECED TOGETHER HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

I am soooo torn over this volume! On the one hand, the symbolism and "piecing together" and the fight over Casca's mind was well done - and had so much in it to LOVE! And we FINALLY have Casca back!

On the other hand, Miura slaps us over the face for thinking we could have it easy after all this time and gives me two of my least favorite chapters in this entire series...it's so hard, knowing that next week was Miura's last volume he was able to create...I don't think I'm ready for it...but struggle on we must!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

BERSERK: Manga Volume 40 Reaction!

Comments

The TITANIC MEME! HAHAHHA! Perfect! Man, that is awesome this was published on your birthday, so yeah, I would totally consider it a Birthday gift at that point! I do appreciate that you and others on Discord have noted you have back to back chapters coming up, so that’s exciting! I’ll be eagerly waiting for Volume 43 to be completed and translated! But yes, it is Berserk and Miura loves to torture us! I’m glad I’m not the only one that was mad at the segway to the Griffith chapters! That was just plain CRUEL of Miura, and then you have the knowledge that Miura was only able to do so many chapters afterwards and it makes you more mad in a greedy sense, at least for me. It sucks this was also around 2020 too, so it adds to that feeling as well. And especially…considering where the volume leaves off at. *sips tea slowly* For Miura at least, I haven’t dived into Mori’s content, yet. Oh, I’m sure I’ll get pushback, but it is what it is - I’m glad you enjoyed the reaction! I definitely am excited to be slowly closer to caught up alongside you all! But yeah, “the end of the Miura chapters” is such a weird thing to say. Thank you so much for the comment and kind words, as always! I appreciate it!

https://youtu.be/Gp-CaTlxjLY?si=P4eysIhHWXGqzKIL 😅 When this volume was published in English, it was on my birthday. So I will always consider this volume my birthday gift. Your thoughts on how this will possibly end is probably every thing that has gone through my mind. As it’s still ongoing, I won’t say anything as we are still getting those chapters. The next chapter will be out this Oct 25, 2924. The thing to always keep in mind with this story is, it’s Berserk. So, how did I personally react when we went to the Griffith chapters? I was pissed! Hahahahahahaha! Honestly, I skip them. Until…….😅 🤐. I absolutely wanted more of Guts and Casca for sure! Heck, there is fan art of how people thought it was going to go… I think your rant was very warranted as I think I had the same rant when that chapter came out. 🤝 Little did we know at this time that we would loose Miura soon. Looking back, 2020 was terrible for obvious reasons. Lots of people were dying. I was hoping that all my family and favorite people around the world would make it through the pandemic. Most did, including Miura. To now know that we would only get one more volume out of him before his demise, I’m still in shock! Well, I know you will probably get some pushback. I enjoyed your reaction as always! I am sooooooo looking forward to the next volume and yes, I got thoughts that I can finally put down. Will it be a surprise? Maybe? Maybe not! Honestly, the next chapter at the end of the month has readers on tender hooks as this story can do at times. Tally Ho to Volume 41! The end of the Miura chapters! 👁️👁️👁️FEB Spoilers ⬇️👁️👁️👁️ Griffith chapters 😒 Volume 40: 5! We can always count on the eclipse for some FEB’s!

I am not trying to be mean. just realistic. You are simply wrong about reactions to trauma. Some people get PTSD. Become suicidal. Or drunks. Or drug addicts. Look outside. I am sure you will find a homeless person suffering from PTSD. Or even basic depression. Causing the person to become avoidant. Eating too much food. Drugs. Whatever. Its also possible to get psychosis. Which I have experienced first hand with a family member. And once you factor in the rules of the Berserk Universe, like magic, there is nothing unrealistic about what happened with Casca. Not everyone reacts to trauma like you did. Also, you don't have to experience something to know about it. And Miura already acknowledged your criticism. Casca said I am a soldier, and she didn't want the dress. But Danaan insisted and I agree with Danaan. Pushing Casca to do something she felt self-conscious about. For a very special occasion. To answer your question, no it did not bother me that we go to the Griffith side of the story. I really enjoy that part of the story. And it is a critical part of the story, not filler. Your description that is simply nonsense violence and fans like to see the violence is just wrong. Its political. Its "show not tell". And its explaining rules of the Berserk Universe. So why do I enjoy it? I like seeing Griffith unleash monsters into the world so that he can become a hero defeating them . I like seeing him expand his empire and manipulation. And I like learning about the dragon paths and how that new magic element will impact the story in the future. The violence is simply a side effect of the above. The violence is not the main objective. Sigh. I suppose I have to add this next part too. I don't think Griffith is good. Or the good guy. I think he is pure evil and representing real life people like rich businessmen and politicians. All of whom I despise. So I enjoy the Griffith scenes because of its excellent and realistic depiction of a politician/businessman. You want to hear our thoughts on Casca's journey too. its not abrupt. Its still ongoing. That is what the heart surrounded by thrones represents. This is literally what you have been asking for. Casca facing and overcoming her trauma. It's happening. Right now. It's not over yet. And it's not abrupt. If you want a real-life comparison. Elaine was a homeless drug addict woman. You can look outside and find such a woman. Now, that homeless drug addict women has started going to rehab. Her life isn't fixed. rehab is literally the first step in a long journey.
